Entryway Refresh

Our faux shiplap walls were painted white, but not properly cured so you could see sap seeping through, which we didn't like obviously.

Painting the Shiplap Walls

We decided to give our entryway space a refresh by painting the walls to mask this discoloration.

We used the Urbane Bronze Color from Sherwin Williams.

Spray Paint the Seams

However, since this is faux shiplap, you could still see the white in the seams after one coat, so we decided to spray paint those black before adding in the final coal of paint!

Installing the Sconces

We also changed out the sconces to more of a antiqued brass color, which I love!

Repurpose the Old Sconces

We also still used the old sconces, and placed them in the bathrooms instead!

I love the darker, moodier look the paint and sconces gave to the space!
