First, remove all the husks and silk from the corn on the cob. Place into a large pot of cool water and let soak at least 30 minutes before smoking.
While corn is soaking, preheat your smoker to 225 degrees. In a small dish, melt the butter and add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt and black pepper together to make a paste.
Remove corn from water and dry. Baste each side of the corn well with the paprika butter paste. Use about half of the butter mixture because you will need some for later too.
Place corn directly on the smoker for 45 minutes. Then, apply more of the butter mixture to the ears of corn and continue to smoke for another 45 minutes.
Remove from smoker and let cool before enjoying!
