Easy 3-Ingredient Apple Cobbler with Sugar Cookie Dough

Prep Time 2 minutes
Cook Time 45 minutes
Servings 12 people

Ingredients

  • 2 cans apple pie filling  or my homemade Crockpot Cinnamon Apples
  • 1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • apple pie spice for sprinkling
  • vanilla ice cream for serving
  • caramel sauce for serving

Instructions

  • Start by adding your canned apple pie filling to the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
If you're using my Crockpot Cinnamon Apples instead, simply add the cooked cinnamon apples to the baking dish once they're finished cooking.
  • Next, take your refrigerated sugar cookie dough and break it into smaller pieces. Arrange the pieces evenly over the top of the apples.
You don't have to make it perfect! As the cookie dough bakes, it spreads and creates a delicious golden-brown cookie topping.
  • Sprinkle a little apple pie spice over the top of the cookie dough. This adds even more warm, cozy fall flavor.
  • Bake the apple cobbler at 350°F for approximately 45 minutes, or until the cookie dough is golden brown and cooked through.
Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving, but I definitely recommend enjoying it while it's still warm!
  • For the ultimate easy apple dessert, serve a warm scoop of apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
The combination of warm cinnamon apples, buttery sugar cookie topping, creamy vanilla ice cream, and caramel is SO good!
  • If you have leftovers, allow the apple cobbler to cool and then cover and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
You can reheat individual portions in the microwave until warm. Add a fresh scoop of vanilla ice cream right before serving!
