You may remember last week I shared all about where to stay in Brevard. So now, I am going to share all the fun things to do in Brevard, NC this week too.
That way you can get your entire trip planned out. And if you’re in the Asheville area like I am, a weekend trip to Brevard is just perfect since it’s only a little over an hour away from my house.
So it’s kind of like a little staycation since you aren’t too far from home. And honestly, I love vacations like that. Just quiet and relaxing! So if that’s your vibe too, then you gotta check out Brevard sometime!

Antique Shopping
Y’all know that antique shopping is one of my most favorite things to do when out of town. So of course, I had to check out some of the local antique stores in Brevard while I was there.

The first place we went to was Mantiques and this one was really fun to look at. They actually had a case full of old English Advertising Pots that I love to collect and I usually don’t ever see them locally. So that was a fun surprise to walk in on!

They also specialize in vintage sport collectibles, which was fun for us to look at too since we are making our downstairs a vintage style game room.

I will say though, that the prices were very hefty at this store so we actually didn’t leave here with anything unfortunately. But, it was still fun to look at!

Another cool antique store to visit while you’re in Brevard is The Underground Salvage Co. This place had a ton of architectural antiques.

They specialize in salvaging old houses, barns, commercial, and industrial buildings. Their impressive warehouse is full of old doors, mantels, tin ceilings, reclaimed lumber, live edge slabs and much more!

And the best part is they have a cat inside too! I always love petting antique store kitties! We found some pretty cool things in here, and this would be a perfect spot to check out if you’re building or renovating your house too!
Downtown Brevard
You’ve got to walk around downtown Brevard while you’re there as well. It’s the cutest little downtown area, filled with so many shops and restaurants!

It honestly reminded me a lot of when we visited Abingdon, VA this past summer too, since it was such a clean and beautiful downtown area. There was an adorable bookstore called Highland Books, that y’all know I had to go in and buy a book from!

Plus, so many other cute clothing stores and boutique stores around the area too! We did venture into town on a Monday afternoon though, and I will say, a lot of stores were closed.

But, we also just had a bad winter storm the weekend before so that may have affected a lot of the store hours. We were still able to visit a lot and see a lot despite of that though! We also stopped and got a delicious cappuccino from an adorable local coffee store, Cup & Saucer, too!

Places To Eat In Brevard
We honestly didnt get to try many places to eat while we were there unfortunately. We went into downtown Brevard before checking into Meraki Escape, so we spent a majority of our meals and time there.

However, we did try out a few cool local places while we were in town. There’s a ton of local breweries around town such as Oskar Blues Brewery, Griffin & Sphynx, Noblebräu Brewing, Brevard Brewing Company, and Ecusta Brewing Co.

We ended up eating at Ecusta and it was really good too! They have a little restaurant called Gordingo’s inside and it was the prefect lunch!

There are also several great restaurants in the area too such as:
- Wild Morel Restaurant
- The Blind Mule
- The Bohemian Restaurant
- Library Kitchen and Bar
- Sora Japanese Restaurant
- Love, Eat, Thai Kitchen
- Stonebowl House Korean Restaurant
I definitely want to come back sometime and try more of these restaurants out because I have heard great things!
Hiking
Brevard is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise! Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, you have easy access to access to Pisgah National Forest, Gorges State Park, and DuPont State Forest. So there are plenty of hiking spots and nearby waterfalls to check out as well.
