Well, guess who caused a little neighborhood excit Well, guess who caused a little neighborhood excitement this morning and had to call 911?! 🙋🏻‍♀️😅

It all started when our carbon monoxide detector kept going off. Naturally, I tried replacing the battery first, but that didn’t help. 🙃

So there I was, frantically trying to get ahold of my husband, who OF COURSE was in a meeting and couldn’t answer, while simultaneously trying to round up all three cats and get everyone outside. 😹

And what does any responsible 33-year-old adult woman do in a situation like this?! CALL HER MOM. 🤣

Literally called my mom to ask if I should call 911 because apparently I still need adult supervision when it comes to adulting. 😂

Well, the fire department showed up, checked everything out, and THANKFULLY there was no carbon monoxide leak! 🙌🏻

Turns out our carbon monoxide alarm was just old and needed replacing. It was over five years old! 🙃

So now I feel a little ridiculous for causing such a commotion, but better safe than sorry, right?!

AND in my defense, our gas fireplace hasn’t been working, and my husband was messing with it last night. So naturally, my mind went straight to a possible gas leak. 😬

Thankfully, everyone is safe, the cats are probably traumatized from their unexpected evacuation, and I’ve officially had enough excitement for one morning. 🤣

So here’s your friendly reminder to check your carbon monoxide detectors, replace them according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, and NEVER ignore an alarm! 🚨

And if you’re one of my neighbors, sorry about all the fire trucks and sirens this morning. Just your local neighborhood drama queen keeping things interesting! 😜

Please tell me I’m not the only grown adult who still calls their mom when something goes wrong?! 🤣👇

Also, shoutout to the fire department for being so nice and telling me I did the right thing by calling. That made me feel slightly less ridiculous at least 😜

Too early to start Christmas crafting?! I think no Too early to start Christmas crafting?! I think not! 😜🎄

I had some extra oyster shells left over from our beach trip this summer, so instead of letting them sit around, I turned them into these DIY oyster shell Christmas ornaments! You may remember I turned some of the shells into cute little ghosts for Halloween too 👻 But now we’re officially moving on to Christmas crafts!

And I am obsessed with how these turned out! All I needed was some spray paint, pretty wrapping paper, Mod Podge, twine, and hot glue to transform ordinary oyster shells into high-end looking coastal Christmas ornaments.

Things we’re ghosting this season: waiting until N Things we’re ghosting this season: waiting until November 1st to decorate for Christmas. 🤣

Sorry, but some of us have approximately 57 Christmas trees to put up, and that kind of commitment takes TIME. 😜🎄

And if you think I’m waiting until Halloween is over to start decorating for Christmas, you’ve got another thing coming. 🤣 I may or may not already have a few trees up around the house. 🤫

Listen, I love spooky season just as much as the next person, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having pumpkins AND Christmas trees out at the same time. It’s called balance, okay?! 👻🎄

So consider waiting until November to decorate for Christmas officially GHOSTED. ✌🏻

Now tell me, are you team Christmas decorating in October or team wait until after Thanksgiving?! 👀
Bless my poor husband’s heart because when he marr Bless my poor husband’s heart because when he married me, I don’t think he realized he was signing up for a lifetime of Christmas decorating chaos! 😂

But when you’re a Christmas-obsessed wife who believes EVERY single room in the house deserves its own Christmas tree, you have to start decorating early, right?! 🎅🏻

I mean, putting up multiple Christmas trees, hanging garland, and transforming our entire home into a cozy Christmas wonderland takes TIME! So obviously, October is a perfectly reasonable time to start decorating for Christmas. At least that’s what I keep telling him! 😜

Thankfully, after 10 years of marriage, he knows the drill and just goes along with all my crazy Christmas decorating ideas. He’s a keeper for sure! ❤️

Fall Date Night Outfits

If you’re like me and love fall fashion and date nights, then this is the post for you! I absolutely love the outfits the fall season brings and I like to put together cute pieces for a special night out. So I thought it would be fun today to share all about my fall date night outfits.

And whether you’re wanting a fancy look or a dressed down look, I’ve got plenty of options for you! Most of these styles are from my favorite little boutique ever, Pink Lily.

If you’ve never heard of this shop, you are definitely missing out. There are so many cute pieces and styles when it comes to fall fashion. And Pink Lily nails it on the head every time. I guarantee if you have a look around online, you will find several things you like there.

In fact, it’s hard not to spend money when browsing on their online site. Or maybe that’s just me! I actually prefer shopping online versus shopping in store. I think it’s much easier and you can see so many more styles that way.

Plus, I’m short so I always have to order petite jeans/pants/etc. anyway when I am in the store since they never have them in stock. What do you prefer? In store or online shopping?? Either way, hopefully this post will give you some fun outfit ideas for fall date nights!

Fall Date Night Outfits

Fall Date Night Dresses

I think one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe are long sleeve dresses. They are just so comfortable and flattering without even trying!

And they can come in so many different options too such as sweater dresses, a maxi dress, or a shirt dress too. All of which are absolutely great options for a date night.

Date Night Outfit Idea

Depending on the dress code of where you’re headed, you may want more fancy dresses or more casual dresses. When it comes to dresses, I love to have a dress that can be used for both. One that can be easily dressed up or dressed down.

For example, you could easily do a more casual look with a dress by wearing some simple knee-high boots with it. Or a pair of ankle boots, depending on what you prefer. And to easily dress it up, just add a pair of heels instead. I absolutely love fall dresses.

Especially since our wedding anniversary is in October and I always love to get dressed up and wear something fancy for a romantic dinner. It’s the perfect excuse for splurging on my perfect fall date night outfit.

Also, you’ll notice for these photos I am using my favorite Walli Phone Cases! If you haven’t ever tried one before, you are missing out! Be sure to use my code “Macedonia10” for an extra 10% off any case too!

Fall Skirts

Going along with the dress theme, I also have a few fall skirts that I love to wear. Before it gets too chilly out, I love wearing this mini skirt I have pictured below. It’s definitely one of my go to fall date night outfits!

It is so cute and perfect for fall and the best part is, it’s actually a skort! You heard me- a skort! Can you believe it?! So not only is it super cute, but you don’t have to worry about it flying up on you on a windy night. Since there are built in shorts, you are always covered.

Fall Mini Skirt

That’s why I absolutely think this piece is an essential for your fall wardrobe. It’s a great way to look fashionable, but be comfortable at the same time!

And when the cooler weather starts approaching a midi skirt or a maxi skirt is always a good option too since it provides a little more coverage. You may remember I wore these same skorts (in a different pattern) on our spring trip to Charleston this year.

Fall Date Night Outfi Idea

It was a perfect option because of all the walking around we did. I never worried about my skirt flying up and flashing anyone! It’s the ultimate practicality meets function piece!

Fall Sweaters

Nothing says fall to me more than a nice, cozy sweater. Don’t you agree? And I love the versatility to them as well. This is another fall piece that can easily be dressed up or dressed down in as well.

Fall Sweater

I love to pair a few sweaters with the skorts I mentioned above too. This gives it a more elevated fall date night look!

Or simply pair a chunky sweater with some skinny jeans or faux leather leggings.

Fall Outfits

That would be the perfect outfit for a day at the apple orchard or pumpkin patch! Chunky knits are definitely in right now since you can wear them so many different ways!

Date Night Outfit Ideas

Having a few fall sweaters are a great option for a more casual date, such as a coffee date. You can really wear them anywhere and anyway you want to.

Boots

Another thing that screams fall to me are of course knee boots! They just look perfect with dresses, sweaters, jeans, you name it!

So you should definitely invest in a pair of tall boots to go along with any fall outfit you are trying to style. For me, I also love some booties.

Especially since I am shorter, most tall boots don’t fit me right. So a few pairs of little booties do the trick for me. And of course, if you’re a country music fan, then you definitely gotta have you some cowboy boots too!

Country Concert Outfit Idea

If you’re going to a country concert this fall, I think the perfect fall date night outfit idea for that would be a denim dress and some cowboy booties!

Jackets

And with the cool weather approaching, now’s the time to think about coats as well. Whether you are looking for a leather jacket or denim jacket, it’s always good to have a few options.

I absolutely love a good denim jacket and I wear mine all the time. Even during the summer with cute little sundresses! This is a piece that you can take from season to season and makes for a perfect date night outfit accessory.

You may also want to consider a long coat or trench coat for when you are wearing a fall dress and it’s a bit chilly out. It’s always nice to have an extra layer of warmth. Oversized blazers are also another great option when it comes to outerwear.

However, my favorite jacket option when it comes to my personal style, is a nice faux leather moto jacket. I have one in a deep green color and I have honestly worn it year after year. It’s one of my favorite pieces to wear in the fall months.

And since it’s green, it looks perfect with black tops or black dresses. It really gives my outfit a nice pop of color. And it was expensive, but if you have a timeless piece like that, you can use it again and again which really makes it worthwhile.

Fall Accessories

And of course to complete the date night outfit formula, one must come up with the perfect accessories for the evening! Such as statement jewelry.

I absolutely love my jewelry collection that I have been building over the years. It’s nothing expensive or crazy, just simple gold pieces that I love that can also be easily added to any outfit.

It takes little effort to throw on a par of earrings or a necklace to complete your outfit. And I love the stylish look jewelry gives to any outfit as well.

I think it definitely makes you look more put together when you are wearing jewelry! Some of my favorite places to shop for jewelry are Kendra Scott and Uncommon James. Definitely check them out if you haven’t yet!

And of course, you always need a great bag to go with your outfits as well. I always love a good crossbody bag. Especially if we are going somewhere, like Charleston, where there will be a lot of walking involved. It just makes it easier not having a big purse to carry around as well!

Enjoy Your Fall Date Night Outfits!

Well, I hope this post inspired you to come up with the perfect dinner date outfit this fall season. With all the seasonal trends going on, it can be hard to find the right pieces.

But, once you do, you can easily add a few pieces every season here and there to build up your wardrobe. And as always, you can donate the pieces you don’t use or like anymore to make room.

Which I have to do often because I am a sucker for all the rich, autumnal hues that come out in clothing each season.

Well, I hope you enjoyed these fall date night outfits and I also hope you try out some of my suggestions. Let me know what you think! I’d love to hear all about your personal style when it comes to fashion below too!

I always decorate my Christmas tree with gold, so these are going to fit in perfectly with my Christmas decor this year! 🎄

We had the BEST time this weekend at the Carolina We had the BEST time this weekend at the Carolina Charm event at @therevelry_clt benefiting the Isabella Santos Foundation! 💕

From the beautiful venue to the amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere, everything about this night was incredible! And getting to meet @relationshep and @salleycarson from Bravo’s Southern Charm was just the cherry on top! 🍒

Y’all already know how obsessed I am with Charleston and Southern Charm, so this event was basically MADE for me! 🤣 Plus, any excuse to get all dressed up, feel fancy, and enjoy a night out for a great cause? Count me in! 🥂

And the best part was knowing that all the fun was supporting the @isftorch and its mission to help children battling rare pediatric cancers. 💛

At this point, I’ve pretty much met the entire Southern Charm cast except Austen and Madison! So if y’all are reading this, I guess you’re next on my list! 🤣👏🏻

Now I need to know… are you a Southern Charm fan too?! And if so, who’s your favorite cast member?!

Now PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one who starts decorating for Christmas in October?! 🎄🤣 And how many Christmas trees do you put up in your house?!
