Ingredients Needed to Make Orange Sugared Almonds:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Zest from 1 orange
- 1 egg white
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups whole almonds
How to Make Orange Sugared Almonds:
I originally got this recipe from the newest addition of The Magnolia Journal. Y’all know I always love looking to Joanna Gaines for some recipe inspiration!
However, for this exact recipe, I did not have as many almonds as it calls for. The original recipe calls for 4 cups, and I just had 2 cups.
So I tried to reduce the amount of sugar and everything else best I could to match the amount of almonds. And it worked out quite well! If you’re using 4 whole cups of almonds, you can increase the amount of sugar to 3/4 cup instead.

Now, to make them, all you need to do is preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Y’all already know I am using my Caraway Home baking sheet for this!

Then, stir together the sugar and the orange zest in a large mixing bowl. Be sure to use the back of a spoon to press together and blend the sugar and orange zest.

This helps to release the oils from the orange zest as well. Whisk in the egg white, water, and salt. Then, add in your almonds and toss to coat evenly.

Spread almonds out on prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes. Or until the sugar mixture is looking dry and is lighter in color.

Cool on a wire rack and then break into bite sized pieces. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for one week.

Enjoy These Orange Sugared Almonds!
Well I hope you love this easy recipe just as much as I do! As you can see they are so easy to throw together, and would be perfect for a holiday party.
Or even make for a perfect homemade gift for a loved one as well. If you make these almonds, let me know how they turned out for you too!
