Well happy Whimsy Home Wednesday my friends. You may have noticed that we took last week off. That’s because I am located in Asheville, NC and we were hit SO HARD by Hurricane Helene.
Once it reached us here, it was still a Tropical Storm Warning. Which is unheard of in the mountains of WNC. It completely devastated our community. Roads are gone, homes are gone, businesses are gone, etc. And the death toll keeps climbing.
We fared better than most. We were just without power, water, internet, and cell service for about 10 days. We are still without water and they are saying it can take up to 2-6 months in some places for complete water restoration.
It’s not been fun, but at least we are all safe and accounted for. It could have been much, much worse. So I am feeling extra thankful and grateful during this Whimsy Home Wednesday! And I’m glad things are kinda settling down here, and at least I have internet again to talk to all of you!!
I am so glad! And if you were in Hurricane Helene’s path, know that I am praying for you too. Let me know if you need anything at all and I will try my hardest to help!
