If you’re a huge foodie like I am, then you’re probably always looking for a good spot for weekend brunch. And if you love the Charleston, SC area like we do too, then you know the food near there is incredible. We recently just stayed for a long weekend trip and I thought I would share the best brunch in Mount Pleasant, SC with you all today.
We have tried several different spots, and while they are all delicious, I think one particular restaurant takes the cake! And of course, it all depends on what you want and what you are in the mood for. So I will be sharing all the spots we’ve been to and which one I think is the very best.
It’s nice to be able to try different restaurants in the area just for brunch specifically. And no matter which side of the Ravenel Bridge you on, there are some truly incredible brunch options out there for you to choose from.
Page’s Okra Grill
Page’s Okra Grill was one of our very first brunch options that we ever tried in the area. And it does not disappoint! You can start off with anything from fried green tomatoes to crab cake. And they have a great variety of breakfast sandwiches on the menu too.
Their menu is full of great, modern comfort food and it is always a great option to try out since they have so many brunch classics. And everything is made with fresh ingredients too. This is a good place to go for large parties too because the restaurant is so big.
There is also a lot of patio seating too. However, they don’t accept reservations, so plan accordingly to that.
One of their menu highlights is The Coleman breakfast, which we have both gotten in the past before. It features farm eggs served any style, thick sliced apple-wood smoked bacon, breakfast sausage, home fries, & pimento cheese grits.
Everything on their menu has reasonable prices too which is always a good bonus. Delicious food and well priced?! You just can’t beat that!
Vicious Biscuit
If you’re looking for a quick, but delicious, bite in Mt Pleasant, then you definitely need to try Vicious Biscuit! It’s one of my favorite breakfast places to go when we drive into that side of town and want a fast meal.
They have some amazing coffee drinks and tasty dishes to choose from. Located conveniently on West Coleman Blvd. it’s very easy to get to as well. And with the convenient option of online ordering too, it really is the best for a fast and delicious breakfast.
We also splurged and tried their Vicious Beignets this time which was absolutely incredible. Made with Cinnamon cream cheese-filled pastries, strawberry jam, topped with whipped cream, fresh cut strawberries, maple syrup drizzle, and powdered sugar, it tasted like a french toast dessert dream!
After that, we split their Fat Boy biscuit which is a Buttermilk biscuit, crispy fried chicken, signature pimento cheese & honey drizzle. Both menu options were to die for!
Acme Lowcountry Kitchen
I have saved the best for last in my opinion! We tried Acme Lowcountry Kitchen for the first time this past trip, and needless to say, we will definitely be back!
This restaurant is kind of a hole in the wall with just a basic kitchen and dining room set up. But man, is it worth it! It’s also located more closely to Isle of Palms, but not far at all from Mount Pleasant.
We started our meal with a sample of their grit flight thanks to our waitress’s recommendation. I am not the biggest fan of grits, however, their grits are off the charts! Even just the plain old fashioned grits! But, the pimento cheese grits were to die for too.
After sampling the grits, we knew we needed to search the menu items for anything with grits too! But, starting off we decided to try their beignets which were chocolate hazelnut stuffed and topped with powdered sugar.
These beignets were absolutely incredible and tasted just like a dessert. So yummy! For our main course, we decided to split the “Triple Dog Dare”. Which they describe it as “The Big Mac” of Biscuits! Made with Sausage, Bacon, Fried Egg & Cheese Smothered in Gouda Cream Served with Grits.
You can’t go wrong with this dish! All of their excellent food is from local farms and is always fresh and made with quality ingredients too.
I would definitely say this is place to go for a good Sunday brunch for sure! It’s the perfect spot for a great meal with a little southern hospitality as well. I can’t wait to go back and try out their lunch or dinner sometime too! Seeing as how this was the best breakfast I’ve ever had in Mt. Pleasant!

One of my dream’s is to be able to try out the Sunday Brunch at Halls Chophouse on King Street. I bet the live music and brunch is incredible. I know their dinner never disappoints there.
We usually are always just in town on a Saturday morning and not Sunday, but one of these days, we will make it I’m sure! Another great brunch option downtown is 82 Queen, which you guessed it, is on Queen Street. If you’ve been to the area too, which brunch restaurant is your favorite?

I adore brunch but usually have it at home; if I had places like these to go to, I would definitely venture out instead! All of the places you have shared here look like they have great food and ambience on offer!
Oh yes, they are all quite delicious. I wish I had them closer to me too! But, I usually do brunch at home too whenever I am not on vacation.
