A few weeks ago, we were lucky enough to get a brand new pellet grill. And we have fallen in love with smoking all the things now. It’s been perfect to use during the late fall season. So today I am sharing a yummy smoked corn on the cob recipe.
It was the perfect side dish to go along with our smoked ribs too. And don’t worry, I’ll be sharing that recipe later too since it was just so good! Like I said, we have really been enjoying our pellet grill and experimenting with all the recipes.
So I hope you like to smoke too, because I’ll be sharing all the fun smoked recipes coming up as we learn more!

What Smoker Should I Get?
If you’re new to smokers and/or pellet grills, don’t worry! We are too, but they are super easy to learn and it’s so fun to experiment and try new things.
The smoker we have is the Pit Boss 700 DX Series 740-Sq. in Black Pellet Grill. And I think it’s a perfect one for beginners. It’s very straightforward and easy to use.

You will also need a nice smoker cover and wood pellets to smoke with. But, once you have all that, you’re set. And this is a really easy recipe to start with too.
It doesn’t require much effort or time. And you really can’t mess up corn on the cob in my opinion! So be sure to try it out and let me know what you think!
Ingredients Needed To Make Smoked Corn:
- 4 ears of corn
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
How To Make Smoked Corn On The Cob:
First, remove all the husks and silk from the corn on the cob. Place into a large pot of cool water and let soak at least 30 minutes before smoking.

While corn is soaking, preheat your smoker to 225 degrees. In a small dish, melt the butter and add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt and black pepper together to make a paste.

Remove corn from water and dry. Baste each side of the corn well with the paprika butter paste. Use about half of the butter mixture because you will need some for later too.

Place corn directly on the smoker for 45 minutes. Then, apply more of the butter mixture to the ears of corn and continue to smoke for another 45 minutes.

Remove from smoker and let cool before enjoying!
