Easy St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast Idea

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

If you’re looking for an easy St. Patrick’s Day breakfast idea, then you’re definitely going to want to try this recipe out! I made a fun and healthy St. Patrick’s Day smoothie! And the best part is, it tastes so yummy!

Even though it is healthy, it tastes just like a peanut butter banana smoothie! I know it’s hard to believe, considering it is green, but trust me!

You will have to keep on reading to see what my extra special secret ingredient is to make this smoothie so yummy and tasty!

This post contains affiliate links. Click here for my disclosure policy.

Ingredients Needed for St. Patrick’s Day Smoothie

  • Frozen Banana
  • Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (Or whatever milk you prefer)
  • Handful of Spinach
  • PB2 Powder
Ingredients Needed for St. Patrick's Day Smoothie

Topping Ideas:

Now, if you wanted to go the ultra healthy route, you could totally stop at the above ingredient list. But hey, it is St. Patrick’s Day right?! So let’s add a little more fun to this smoothie!

I decided to top it with a little bit of whipped cream, for a sweeter touch, and of course, some fun themed St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles!

And when I was strolling the aisles of Hobby Lobby the other day and came across these cute shamrock paper straws, I knew I had to add them in too!

Toppings For St. Patrick's Day Smoothie

The Best Blender for Smoothies

I used my Ninja blender (which I love!) as you all know. I have used it for several of my other recipes such as when I make my pecan pie bars and my pumpkin pie bars too!

And the best part is it came with single serve cups and a smaller blender, so I can easily make a one serving sized smoothie whenever I want! That is my favorite part about it because I often make smoothies for a quick breakfast not he go during the work week.

How to Make This Easy St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast

Okay, now on to make this easy and delicious St. Patrick’s Day breakfast idea! First, you want add 1/3 cup of vanilla greek yogurt to your cup. Then, add in a frozen banana (that is sliced up), and then throw in a handful of fresh spinach.

Adding Greek Yogurt
Adding Frozen Bananas

I know that sounds crazy, especially if you’re not a spinach fan, but trust me, you don’t taste it AT ALL! And you get all the added benefits from the spinach without the taste! So that’s a win win, right?

Adding Spinach To Smoothie
Adding PB Powder to Smoothie

The secret to hiding the taste of the spinach is adding two tablespoons of PB2 powder. This makes your smoothie taste just like peanut butter, and it is so delicious! If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should! I will link it below:

After the powder, add in about 2/3 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or whatever milk you prefer). You may need a little more or a little less depending on the desired consistency.

You can also add in some ice too, but I find that using the frozen banana slices make the smoothie just right for me!

Finished Smoothie With Sprinkles

Enjoy Your St. Patrick’s Day Themed Breakfast!

As you can see, this recipe is super easy and simple. It can also be enjoyed year round, not just on St. Patrick’s Day!

But I thought, since it is that time of the year again, I would share this fun idea with you all in case you needed an easy St. Patrick’s Day breakfast too!

Little Miss Charlie apparently has some VERY stron Little Miss Charlie apparently has some VERY strong opinions about my new fall florals on the coffee table because she has made it her daily mission to swat at them, bite them, and generally try to destroy them every chance she gets. And since it’s also international cat day, I figured it was the perfect moment to share her shenanigans 😂

I guess she definitely did NOT take after her mama when it comes to loving fall decorating! 🎃🍁 I’m trying to create a cozy fall home and Charlie is over here like, “Absolutely not.” 🤣

Honestly, I have to respect the confidence. At least she’s honest about her feelings! 😂

Tell me your cat doesn’t also think every piece of home decor is a toy. 😹

I found these adorable vintage thermoses and loved them as-is… but then I had the idea to give them a spooky-cute Jack-o’-lantern makeover for Halloween! 🎃

All I did was pull out my @cricut and cut a simple Jack-o’-lantern face from removable vinyl. Now I have two decorations in one! Display the plain side for your cozy fall decor, then simply turn them around when it’s time for Halloween decorating. It’s such an easy way to get more use out of your vintage finds!

This is one of my favorite easy Cricut Halloween DIYs because it takes just a few minutes, costs almost nothing, and gives thrifted decor a fun seasonal twist. If you love vintage Halloween decor, thrift flips, and budget-friendly Halloween decorating ideas, you have to try this one! Comment “Halloween” below and I’ll send you all the details!

Would you leave them vintage… or are you team Jack-o’-lantern? 🎃🖤

If you’re looking for easy fall coffee table decor If you’re looking for easy fall coffee table decor ideas, here’s one simple swap that completely transformed my living room for the season! 🍂🤎

I’ve been working on styling my fall coffee table centerpiece, but something just felt off. The bright greenery mixed with my fall decor wasn’t giving the cozy autumn vibe I was going for.

Then I spotted these adorable fall leaf bud vases from Target’s Hearth & Hand collection, and I knew they were exactly what my centerpiece needed. Swapping out the greenery for these warm autumn leaves made such a huge difference, and now my coffee table finally feels cozy and fall-ready!

Sometimes it’s the smallest decorating changes that make the biggest impact. 🍁
