Too early to start Christmas crafting?! I think no Too early to start Christmas crafting?! I think not! 😜🎄

I had some extra oyster shells left over from our beach trip this summer, so instead of letting them sit around, I turned them into these DIY oyster shell Christmas ornaments! You may remember I turned some of the shells into cute little ghosts for Halloween too 👻 But now we’re officially moving on to Christmas crafts!

And I am obsessed with how these turned out! All I needed was some spray paint, pretty wrapping paper, Mod Podge, twine, and hot glue to transform ordinary oyster shells into high-end looking coastal Christmas ornaments.

Not only are these such a pretty addition to your Christmas tree, but they’re also a sweet vacation keepsake! Every year when you pull them out, you’ll have a little reminder of that summer beach trip. 🥹

I always decorate my Christmas tree with gold, so these are going to fit in perfectly with my Christmas decor this year! 🎄

I’m partnering with @catspride today to put an empty Cat’s Pride litter jug to good use with the cutest little upcycling project. Since the jug was already the perfect Frankenstein green, I knew exactly what I wanted to make! 💚 After cleaning the empty jug thoroughly, we cut off the top to create a basket shape. Then I used my Cricut to add a Frankenstein face before filling it with some of Riley and Toby’s favorite cat treats and Halloween toys. And judging by Toby’s reaction to that catnip owl, I’d say this DIY cat boo basket was a success. 😹 And before the jug was transformed, Cat’s Pride made litter box duty a whole lot easier. Things To Do In Atlanta For Couples

If you’re planning on taking a trip to Atlanta soon, I’ve got you covered with all the tips and tricks! You may remember I recently shared all about the fun things to in Charlotte a few weeks ago. So I thought it would be fun to share things to do in Atlanta for couples today too.

That way, if you have a trip coming up soon, I will hopefully be able to give you some good ideas and inspiration for your trip.

We’ve been to Atlanta several times before and we always have such a fun time when we go. And there really is so much to do in Atlanta, whether you want to explore or just hang out downtown, there is something for everyone!

And it’s the perfect place to go for a long weekend trip too. So keep on reading to see all the best things you can do in Atlanta too!

Downtown Atlanta Views

This post also contains affiliate links, which means I make a small commission off anything you purchase through here, at no additional cost to you. Please read my full privacy policy for more details.

Attend A Concert In Atlanta

Just like I mentioned about Charlotte, Atlanta is perfect for music lovers! There is always somewhere with live music and that was one of the main reasons we’ve gone down to Atlanta before.

Morgan Wallen In Atlanta
Atlanta Morgan Wallen

We saw Morgan Wallen at the Atlanta Braves Stadium and it was my favorite concert ever! It was a very special event for me because this was the first time I got to see him.

Us At Morgan Wallen

I had tickets the year before to see him but I got sick and had to sell them. Then, the original concert for the Braves stadium got delayed almost 5 months after the original date.

Atlanta Morgan Wallen Concert
Morgan Wallen Singing

But finally, when I got to see him, it was definitely worth it. And such a cool venue too for a concert! My hubby got these tickets for me for my birthday originally so this was a perfect date idea for us.

Me and Morgan Wallen

Especially since we are both huge Morgan Wallen fans! So be sure to check out any live performances in the area when you go.

Me At Morgan Wallen

Catch A Game At The Atlanta Braves Stadium

If concerts aren’t your thing, you could definitely still go to the Braves stadium and watch the Atlanta Braves play! This is another one of me and my husband’s favorite things to do whenever we go to Atlanta.

Atlanta Braves Stadium

We try to catch a game at least once a year since the Braves are our favorite team. We always have a great time when we go and I think it’s a must to do while you’re there.

The A

Even if you’re not the biggest baseball fan, it’s still worth checking out. Especially because the stadium is just so cool.

The Battery
The Braves

They call the area “The Battery” around the stadium, and there is so much to do there too. There’s a ton of restaurants, shops, and hotels all right there.

Me in Mizuno Store
Battery Shops
Logan in Mizuno Shop

Shops At The Battery
Me in the Battery

So it’s really nice because if you want to get there and just stay there, you can! You don’t have to deal with the crazy Atlanta traffic and just walk to all the places you need to go around the stadium.

Fireworks At The Braves
They also do fireworks every Friday night too!

It’s also a great way to split a longer trip up too. For example, last summer, we went down to Orange Beach, Alabama and stopped in Atlanta the night before to watch the Braves play. And to break up the long drive!

Atlanta Braves

It’s hard to make a round trip to Orange Beach without stopping! Atlanta is the perfect place to spend a night in because you can do so many things. Even if you don’t want to attend a sporting event, there is something there for you!

Waiting to Get Into The Braves
Me At The Atlanta Braves Stadium
Linking my outfit details below. We were actually here on the fourth of July so this was a perfect outfit for both the Braves and the holiday!

Go To The Georgia Aquarium

You may think the aquarium is just for kids, but trust me, if you’re in the Atlanta area, you should definitely check out the Georgia Aquarium.

Aquarium

This is the largest aquarium in the United States so it is a must see. They even have 2 whale sharks there, which is the largest fish in the world. So that was very cool to see.

Whale Sharks
Whale Shark

They definitely have more species than I’ve ever seen before in an Aquarium and a ton of interactive exhibits and fun activities going on all the time. It’s also located right in the heart of downtown Atlanta so there is plenty to do around the area too.

Sea Otter
Sea Otters

You can even get the Atlanta Citypass, which allows you to not only go to the Aquarium, but several other attractions around. This pass also includes a ticket to the World of Coca-Cola, which we’ve been to before.

Beluga Whale

This is a super fun attraction too because you get to sample all different kinds of Coca Cola around the world! We actually were gifted a Citypass from a friend after we got married and were able to check out several of these fun spots.

Puffin

It was a fun romantic getaway for sure. The other places you can visit with the pass are: Zoo Atlanta, Chick-Fil-A College Football Hall of Fame, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, and Natural Center For Civil and Human Rights.

Shark Tank

Visit Centennial Olympic Park

This historic landmark was built by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games as part of the infrastructure improvements for the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Olympic Park
Us In Olympic Park

So it’s a must-visit destination for sure. You could have a romantic evening here strolling through all the lush greenery. It’s also a great place with a lot of picnic areas so if you want to pack a picnic, this would be the ultimate perfect date night!

Us At Olympic Park

Not to mention, who doesn’t love free date ideas like that?! I would say a leisurely walk through Centennial Park is one of the top romantic things you can do while visiting the area.

Best Places To Eat In Atlanta

If you’re wanting to check out some delicious restaurants in the area, I have a couple of suggestions for you. While there are so many places to choose from, these are the ones we’ve been to before and can vouch for how delicious they are.

Pappasito's Cantina
Inside Pappasito's Cantina
Fish Tacos

The first one being Pappasito’s Cantina. We’ve been here several times and it’s a perfect spot for lunch. We usually go there before we head into the Braves stadium since it is located close by.

Another delicious spot for a dinner date would be Ray’s In The City. We went there for dinner one night and absolutely loved it!

Ray's In The City

It was the perfect spot for a romantic date night with a beautiful setting inside too. And the food was incredible as well! I highly recommend this place.

Best Places To Stay In Atlanta

Like I mentioned above, when we go to the Braves games, we usually stay at the hotels around the stadium since it’s so much more convenient. They are all really nice too.

The Candler Hotel Inside
The Candler Hotel Chandelier

But, this past trip we decided to splurge a little and stay at The Candler Hotel Atlanta. And this place was absolutely phenomenal. The interior design to it was amazing.

The building used to be a bank and other offices such as a dental office too. The rooms were so beautiful and spacious and my favorite part was the soaking tub in the bathroom.

They even put out bath salts for you to enjoy too! The hotel also has an amazing restaurant called By George which was incredible as well.

The best part was that our server took us down below the restaurant to show us the secret vault. The bank owner that originally owned this building stored the actual, original recipe for Coca-Cola in here many years ago!

Y’all know we love anything with a good history like that, so this was very cool to see and experience. If you ever get the chance to, you should definitely stay here! It did not disappoint!

Enjoy Your Atlanta Trip!

Well, I hope this post gave you a lot of inspiration of things to do in Atlanta for couples! So if you’re planning a romantic weekend away, be sure to check out some of these places I mentioned above and let know what you think!

Pin for later!

Have you ever been to Atlanta before? If so, let me know what some of your favorite spots are below too!

Football season is officially here, which means I’m all about the game day snacks! 🙌🏻
And this easy Football Cheese Ball might just be the cutest addition to your next football party or tailgate! I’m partnering with @foodlion to create this simple, delicious football-shaped cheese ball using ingredients you can easily grab during your next grocery run.
It’s creamy, cheesy, loaded with ranch and bacon, and perfect for serving with crackers and pretzels. 😍 Here’s what you’ll need:
🏈 FOOTBALL CHEESE BALL:
• 16 oz cream cheese (2 8-oz blocks), softened
• 2 tbsp sour cream
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 oz ranch seasoning (1 packet)
• ¼ cup chopped green onions
• ½ cup chopped bacon or bacon bits
• 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
• 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
🏈 FOR THE COATING:
• ⅓ cup chopped pecans
• ½ cup chopped bacon
• 2 tbsp chopped green onions
• 2 slices white cheese for the football laces
Mix all of the cheese ball ingredients together in the bowl of a stand mixer until combined. Spray a little cooking oil on your hands and shape the mixture into a football. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. I made mine the night before so it was ready to go on game day! When you’re ready to serve, combine the pecans, bacon, and green onions in a shallow dish and roll the cheese ball in the mixture until completely coated. Cut thin strips from the white cheese to create the football laces, arrange everything on a serving tray with your favorite crackers and pretzels, and you have the CUTEST football party appetizer! 🏈🧀
