Can you believe we’re only 6 weeks away from the ’ Can you believe we’re only 6 weeks away from the ’ber months?! 🍂 September, October, November, and December are hands-down my favorite time of year!

Don’t get me wrong, I love summer… but I wouldn’t complain if it was about 15 degrees cooler instead of feeling like we’re melting every day. 😂

I’m so ready for crisp fall mornings, cozy evenings, pumpkin everything, fall baking, candlelight, sweaters, and all the cozy autumn vibes. There’s just something magical about this season that makes home feel even cozier.

Who’s already counting down to fall 2026 with me? 🍁👇 Are you team summer or team ’ber months?

Before I can even think about swimsuits and cute o Before I can even think about swimsuits and cute outfits, I have to make sure every medication, supplement, electrolyte packet, and “just in case” item makes it into my bag. Then I mentally go through my checklist about 50 times before we leave because forgetting one thing could completely change the trip.

Traveling with a chronic illness definitely takes a little more planning, but it’s worth it to make the memories. 💛

Styling a decorative tray for fall doesn’t have to Styling a decorative tray for fall doesn’t have to be complicated. 🍂🕯️

One of my favorite fall decorating tips is to simply shop my own home first! I gather a few cozy pieces I already own, add a small pumpkin or seasonal accent, and always finish the look with one (or two 😉) Antique Candle Co. candles. Nothing makes a home feel more like cozy fall decor than the warm glow of candlelight and the scent of crisp autumn mornings.

If you’ve been looking for easy fall tray styling ideas or simple ways to make your home feel warm and inviting, this is such an effortless place to start. You don’t have to spend a fortune to create a beautiful, cozy space.

🍁 Antique Candle Co.‘s new fall candle testers are available now, so it’s the perfect way to discover your favorite fall scents before committing to a full-size candle!

Comment “CANDLES” below and I’ll send you the link! 🧡 And you better hurry, you only have until July 28th to get these fall candle testers ordered and then they are gone forever!

Some updates are harder to share than others. ❤️ Some updates are harder to share than others. ❤️

I’ve gone back and forth about posting this because I never want this page to become all about my health. I love sharing recipes, DIYs, home projects, gardening, and all the things that bring me joy. But I also want this space to be real, and right now, this is part of my reality.

I share more in the carousel, but after meeting with my primary care provider last week, I’ll now be having MRIs of both my brain and my spine/back to hopefully get closer to some answers. While Chiari malformation is still a possibility, my doctor also wants to rule out other neurological conditions, like Multiple Sclerosis. Hearing that was incredibly overwhelming, and if I’m being honest, this past week has been one of the hardest mentally.

The waiting is exhausting. Waiting for appointments, waiting for tests, waiting for results… it feels like my life has been on pause while I wait to find out what’s causing all of these symptoms.

I also wanted to remind everyone that social media is often a highlight reel. Most of the content you see from me was planned and scheduled on days when I felt well enough to create. What you don’t see are the tears, the fear, the doctor’s appointments, the nights spent worrying, or the mental toll that comes with living in the unknown.

If there’s one thing I hope you take away from this post, it’s this: please be kind. You never truly know what someone is carrying behind the scenes. Invisible illnesses are just that- invisible.

And if you’re walking through your own health journey right now, I want you to know you’re not alone. This community has been such a source of comfort for me, and I’m so thankful for every message, prayer, and encouraging word you’ve sent my way. They truly mean more than you know. ❤️

If you pray, I’d really appreciate your prayers as I move through this next round of testing. I’m holding onto hope that we’ll finally get some answers. 🤍

Y’all… I need some advice. 😅 Has anyone ever had t Y’all… I need some advice. 😅 Has anyone ever had their pinky toenail almost completely fall off for absolutely no reason?

Mine is literally hanging on by one tiny corner (like 90% detached 🤢), and I can’t decide if I should just pull it off or leave it alone. The problem is it hurts every time I put on socks or shoes because it keeps catching and tugging. 😩

This actually happened to me years ago after wearing cowboy booties in Nashville that rubbed my pinky toes raw, and I ended up losing both pinky toenails. They eventually grew back completely normal, so I’m so confused why it’s happening again.

I haven’t stubbed my toe, I haven’t had a pedicure in over 6 weeks, and I’ve mostly been living in sandals all summer with my usual tennis shoes. So what in the world would make a toenail suddenly start falling off? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Should I just go ahead and pull it off since it’s barely attached, or leave it alone and let it come off on its own? Tell me what you would do because I’m officially accepting all the toenail advice I can get. 😂

And at this point, I guess my body has decided to rebel from the top of my head all the way down to my toenails. 🫠🤣 #toes #toenails #pinkytoe #pinkytoes #toenail

I’ve also read that women with endometriosis may experience symptoms associated with perimenopause earlier than average, and honestly… as if endometriosis hasn’t put us through enough already. 😅

At this point, I’m about ready to start a Late Night Book Club for all the insomnia and perimenopause girlies because apparently none of us are sleeping anyway. 📚☕️😂

One thing people don’t talk about enough is how ch One thing people don’t talk about enough is how chronic illness doesn’t just affect the person who’s diagnosed, it changes the lives of the people who love them, too. ❤️

Living with an invisible illness can feel incredibly isolating, but having a supportive spouse has made all the difference in my journey. Through countless doctor appointments, unanswered questions, difficult days, and moments when I’ve felt like giving up, my husband has been my biggest advocate, my safe place, and my constant source of strength.

I know not everyone has that kind of support, and my heart truly goes out to anyone navigating chronic illness on their own. No one should have to carry that weight by themselves.

To every caregiver, spouse, partner, family member, or friend who continues to show up with patience, compassion, and love; you matter more than you know. Thank you for making the hard days a little easier. 🤍

Things to do in Myrtle Beach

This post is kind of a little piggy back to my most recent one I shared, The Best Places to Eat in Myrtle Beach. Since I shared all things food last time, I thought it would be fun to share about things to do in Myrtle Beach this time.

And spoiler alert- there is a lot! We didn’t really do too many things besides relax on the beach, but have no fear.

If you like a vacation that has a lot of things to do around the area, then Myrtle Beach is your spot!

Myrtle Beach
I could stare at this view for hours!

Enjoy The Beach

Obviously, one of our favorite things to do in Myrtle Beach is just to enjoy the beach itself. As I mentioned above, we don’t do too many things while at the beach.

Besides eat a ton of seafood of course! But there’s really nothing better than just sitting down in a beach chair with a good book in my hand. Give me that, and I am set for hours!

Myrtle Beach Sunrise
Look at this pretty sunrise!

We always love to go on mornings walks on the beach every day. It’s a good way to squeeze in some exercise and enjoy the beach as well.

We also love to search for shark’s teeth while doing so too. On our last day, we were even able to experience a water spout on the beach too. Have you ever seen one of those before?!

It was so cool, it looked like a mini tornado out on the water! That was our first time seeing one and we were completely mesmerized by it.

Pier on the Beach
There’s always a pier nearby you can go on as well.
Water Spout on the Beach
Here is the water spout!
Shark's Tooth on the Beach
I found a pretty good sized shark’s tooth this trip!

Beach Essentials

Also, if you’re planning on enjoying the beach daily like we did, here are some essentials you may need:

  • My TULA sunscreen is a lifesaver for my face on the beach. Anytime I used to use other sunscreen, it was greasy and would get in my eyes and cause them to burn all day. I also wear contacts so it was very irritating. This stuff never gets in my eyes and I love how easy and non-greasy it is to apply. Plus, you can always use my coupon code “15CHARITY” to save 15% off anything at TULA!
  • This Collapsible Folding Wagon was absolutely perfect for hauling our chairs, towels, cooler, and other things out to the beach every day. We didn’t have to carry anything thanks to this awesome wagon. And, it completely folds down for easy storage when you aren’t using it!
  • A YETI Cooler is a must for keeping your drinks cold. Even when it is 90 degrees out, it will still keep them nice and cold! Plus, the ice lasts all day long in it without melting!
  • Our JBL Bluetooth Speaker was perfect to play our summer playlist while relaxing on the beach. It has held up so well on numerous beach and pool trips. And it doesn’t get too hot out in the sun and it’s even waterproof. I highly recommend getting one of these!
TULA Sunscreen
Hands down my favorite sunscreen ever!
Folding Beach Wagon
This wagon made hauling everything down to the beach 100% easier!

Where to Stay in Myrtle Beach

Of course if you are planning to do all these things in Myrtle Beach, you will need a good place to stay! We went two separate times this year and stayed at two different resorts.

Both of which were good and I will share a little pro and cons list about each of them. Usually, our most favorite place to stay down here is North Beach Resort.

But sadly, they did not have any availability for the weeks we were going. But, if you ever get the chance to, check it out!

The condos are modeled after the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas so it is a very nice place to stay!

Avista Resort

The first place we stayed at this year was Avista Resort. The room we got was oceanfront and very clean and nice. It also had a very large bathroom, which I always enjoy!

Plenty of room to get ready in! The pool area here was nice, although it literally was under complete shade by 3:00 pm. Which I was not a big fan of.

I love being in the sun, so if you don’t mind the shade, this is the place for you. I also wasn’t a huge fan of where the bathrooms were located.

You had to take the elevator and ride it up a floor from the pool deck. Not very fun if you are wet from swimming!

Avista Resort
Here is Avista Resort!

Here is an overhead shot of the pool area.
Balcony Views
We had a great view from our balcony area! We could see both the pool and the ocean!
Moonlight View
We were able to enjoy a full moon view one night here, look how beautiful!

Seawatch Resort

The second place we stayed was Sea Watch Resort. And I gotta say, I loved their pool area much more than Avista. They had a total of three different pool areas on the resort.

All including several different hot tubs at each location too! That is one of my favorite things to do in Myrtle Beach too. Just soak in a hot tub in the evenings!

So I was very pleased with that. And they even had a Starbucks on location as well. Also, if you were hungry, they had a cafe where you could purchase breakfast and lunch options too.

Sea Watch Resort
View of the North Side Towers at Sea Watch, which is where we stayed.
Sea Watch Resort Pool Area
Here is a view of the pool area.
Sea Watch Resort
View of the South Side Towers at Sea Watch.

I will say the only downside to our Sea Watch stay was that the room was very small. I don’t mind a small room, but the bathroom was extremely tiny.

Like, I couldn’t even dry my hair and get ready in it. But, we did have a nice large balcony view of the ocean which is always nice! And the pool bathrooms were not located far from the pool.

You didn’t have to take an elevator to use them like you did at Avista. So overall, our experience here was great as well!

Barefoot Landing

Both of the condos we stayed at were very close to Barefoot Landing. Which was super convenient seeing as how there are a lot of great restaurants there to eat at.

That’s where our favorite restaurant ever is, Flying Fish Market. So we obviously had to come here a lot since it was one of our favorite things to do in Myrtle Beach!

There are plenty of other restaurants here as well along with lots of cute shops.

Ron Jon Surf Shop
Ron Jon Surf Shop is always a fun store to visit at the beach!
Barefoot Landing Plants
They had so many beautiful plants around the boardwalk too!

So peaceful and beautiful!

Broadway at the Beach

The night we went to Broadway at the Beach, it was pouring the rain unfortunately. So it was hard for me to get a lot of good pictures to show y’all. But, this is definitely one of the better things to do in Myrtle Beach if you’re again looking for some good food and shopping options.

Broadway at the Beach is similar to Barefoot Landing, although it is a little larger and I think they have a lot more restaurants to choose from here.

There is also a lot of things for kids to do here such as mini golf and a little carnival area with rides as well.

Broadway at the Beach
So many cool things to do and see here.
Aquarium
Here is Ripley’s Aquarium!
Broadway at the Beach Views
Just like Barefoot Landing, a lot of these shops and restaurants are on the water.

You can also rent a boat ride and it sends you out on the water and splashes you around. Those were fun to watch although I was already drenched from the rain and didn’t feel like adding on to the wetness!

You can also go to to the aquarium here which is always fun. We went a few years ago and enjoyed it, even without kids!

Basically, if you come here, you will not run out of things to do for the day. They also shoot off fireworks at night so be sure to plan ahead to see what nights they are doing it if you want to enjoy that too.

Tanger Outlets

Something else to add to your things to do in Myrtle Beach list are of course the Tanger Outlets! I always love to outlet shop and whenever I can save a little bit of money, I am all for it!

Sea Watch Resort was literally only 5 minutes away from the Tanger Outlets so that was super convenient as well! I will say though, these outlets aren’t as big or as good as the ones in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

I usually go there to shop if I am looking for something in particular. But, these were fun since they are located at the beach of course!

Tanger Outlets
Gotta love shopping at the beach!

Conclusion

Well, I hope the post gave you an outline of all the things to do in Myrtle Beach. And, there are so many more things you can do as well.

There’s dinner shows, plenty of mini golf places, and other tourists attractions as well. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. I just thought I would show y’all a list of our favorites and things that we actually did while we were there.

If you ever get the chance to check some of these places out, you definitely should! We had a blast and can’t wait to go back next summer!

Well, we thought it would be hot and humid during August. But it was actually cool and very rainy unfortunately. We only had one day of sunshine lol but we usually love to go around October 1st because that is our anniversary and it’s usually really nice then. Not too hot or humid at all and less crowded which is very nice! So I would say anytime between middle of September to Early October!

I love going to the beach, even if I’m just looking at the waves and birds. There’s a bunch of beaches in California, but they’re usually freezing and/or unclean. But sunscreen is a must if you’re going out in the summer, and shopping before or after a fun time at the beach sounds like the perfect vacation. Thanks for these tips Charity!

Now if only I could get a vacation from all the vacation packing. 😂

Anyone else with a chronic illness feel like packing is the most stressful part of traveling? ✈️💊 Let me know I’m not alone!

Save this post for your fall decorating inspiration and tag a friend who’s already counting down the days until cozy season! 🍂

Imagine Netflix interviewing your cat… what would Imagine Netflix interviewing your cat… what would they say about you? 😂🐈 The tea they could spill would probably be wild! Would they call you the best cat parent ever… or expose all your embarrassing habits? 😹

I’m hoping my cats have mostly good things to say because I may have slightly bribed them this year with a cozy heated cat bed from @kneadcats 🤭 If there’s one way to earn the title of “favorite human,” it’s giving your spoiled indoor cats the warmest nap spot in the house!

Tell me… would your cat hype you up or totally roast you?👇🏻 If you don’t think so, use my code “MACEDONIA” to get $10 off a cat bed for your furry friend too! 😻

POV: Your husband suddenly becomes a golf coach af POV: Your husband suddenly becomes a golf coach after playing a few rounds… 😂⛳️

My husband has been really into golf lately, which apparently means it’s now his mission to teach me how to play. The only problem? I’m not totally convinced he’s qualified for the job. 🤣

What do y’all think… should I trust his golf lessons or find a new coach? 😂

Then again, I probably shouldn’t be talking because I’m terrible at mini golf too. If I can’t even survive a game of putt-putt, I don’t know what chance I have on a real golf course. 😅

Tell me… is your spouse always trying to teach you their favorite hobby too, or is it just mine? ⛳️😂

Although… when you already deal with chronic GI issues every day, would you even notice the difference? 🤣

Any other gardeners having a rough harvest this year, or is it just me? 🌿🍅🥒

POV: It’s 2:37 a.m. and you’re playing everyone’s POV: It’s 2:37 a.m. and you’re playing everyone’s favorite game… “Is this insomnia or is this perimenopause?” 🙃😂

Please tell me I’m not the only one! I’m only 33, but lately I cannot sleep to save my life. Between tossing, turning, and staring at the ceiling, my Kindle and a cup of tea have basically become my nightly routine.

So tell me… are you dealing with insomnia, perimenopause symptoms, endometriosis, or all of the above? And most importantly, what has actually helped you sleep? Drop your tips below because your girl is desperate. 💛

If you’re living with a chronic illness, tag someone who’s been there for you, or send this to the person who’s helped carry you through your hardest days. They deserve to know how much they’re appreciated.

Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outsid Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outside with the breeze slightly blowing right now instead of it being 100 degrees outside! 🤣

But seriously though, one sip and you’ll see why this cozy fall drink is a fan favorite. Made with warm apple cider, cinnamon, caramel, and whipped cream, it tastes like autumn in a cup, and the best part? There’s no coffee, so it’s perfect for kids and anyone who isn’t a coffee drinker!

I finally shared my easy Starbucks copycat Caramel Apple Spice recipe on the blog, and it’s so simple to make at home whenever those fall cravings hit. 🤎 Comment “Recipe” below and I’ll send it straight to you!

Have you ever tried a Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice before, or will this be your first time? Let me know below! 👇🏻 And don’t forget to save this recipe for cozy season and share it with your fellow fall lovers!
