The best season of the year is FINALLY here, and apparently fall understood the assignment because we’re supposed to get some cooler temperatures this week too! 🙌🏻

After what feels like the longest, hottest summer ever, I am more than ready for crisp fall weather, cozy evenings, changing leaves, pumpkin everything, and ALL the fall baking. 😂🍎🎃

And obviously, the first day of fall deserves to be celebrated with a homemade fall treat… so now the only question is: what should I bake today?!

Apple butter pie? Apple cider cookies? Pumpkin bread? 👀

Tell me your favorite fall dessert below and help me decide! 👇🏻

There’s something extra special about a golf weekend in Asheville, NC, especially when you get to experience a beautiful course like Walnut Cove and see professional golfers in action. And while I may not know everything happening on the course 😂, I can definitely appreciate the atmosphere, the views, and a good excuse for a fun weekend out!

And with football season officially here, this easy Southern potato salad is the perfect game day side dish for backyard cookouts, tailgates, football parties, or an easy fall weekend dinner.

It’s classic, creamy, comforting, and one of those recipes everyone keeps going back for another scoop of!

I love making homemade sugar cookie dough, but if you’re short on time? Grab the store-bought dough. I fully support taking the shortcut. 😂👏🏻

These easy Halloween monster sugar cookies would be so cute for a Halloween party, spooky movie night, kids’ Halloween treat, or just a fun weekend baking project.

Minimal effort + maximum spooky cute. That’s my kind of Halloween baking! 👻

The second I saw this black cat in the Target Hall The second I saw this black cat in the Target Halloween decor section, I knew exactly what I had to do… turn it into Charlie. 😹

Obviously, I couldn’t just leave this little black cat statue as-is when I have my very own fluffy tuxedo cat at home! So I grabbed some paint while I was at Target and came home for a little Halloween craft night with my very attentive supervisor. 😂

And when I say Charlie supervised… I mean she watched VERY closely to make sure I got her likeness just right. 👀

I used white paint to recreate her adorable tuxedo face, pink for her little nose, and green for her eyes. Her eyebrow whiskers came out slightly wonky, but honestly… hers are a little wonky in real life too, so we’re calling that accuracy. 😂

When the DIY cat statue was finally finished, Charlie inspected my work and… well… I’m not sure she was impressed. 😹
Obviously she knows she’s MUCH prettier in person, so her Target Halloween decor dupe simply wasn’t up to her standards.

But I think it turned out absolutely adorable! 🐈‍⬛🎃 This was such an easy and fun way to personalize inexpensive Halloween decor and make it look just like your own pet.
Now I need to know… would you paint one to look like your cat?! 👇🏻

🍎 Don’t let those fresh orchard apples go to waste 🍎 Don’t let those fresh orchard apples go to waste! Freeze them instead! 😉

Have you ever tried freezing fresh apple slices?! This is one of my favorite fall kitchen hacks, especially after a trip to the apple orchard! 🍏

Every fall, I come home with WAY more apples than we could possibly eat before they go bad 😂 So instead of letting them sit on the counter, I prep and freeze a big batch of apple slices to use all season long!

It takes a little extra time upfront, but having fresh apple slices ready in the freezer makes fall baking SO much easier. 🥧 You can grab exactly what you need whenever you’re craving apple pie, apple crisp, apple cobbler, apple bread, or any of your favorite cozy apple recipes!

Plus, it’s such an easy way to preserve those delicious fresh-picked apples from the orchard and enjoy them long after apple season is over. 🙌🏻🍎

Want to know how to freeze fresh apples the right way so they’re ready for all your fall baking?!

This Aerie sweat set might finally be my MomTok moment because I’m obsessed. It’s comfy, cute, and actually makes me feel put together while still basically wearing pajamas, which is exactly the kind of fashion I support. 😂

POV: you made the cutest DIY Halloween decor witho POV: you made the cutest DIY Halloween decor without buying a single thing 👻📖

This is your reminder that fall decor doesn’t have to be expensive! Some of my favorite seasonal decorations are DIY projects made with supplies I already have at home, and this spooky cute DIY ghost banner might be one of my favorites yet.

I started by brewing about 4 bags of black tea and letting it cool. While the tea was cooling, I tore a few pages out of an old book I already had and placed them in a shallow baking dish with the tea. I let the pages soak for several hours to give them that perfectly aged, vintage look.

Once the tea-stained book pages were dry, I used a ghost-shaped cookie cutter to trace little ghosts onto each page. Then I cut them out, added tiny faces with a Sharpie, and attached them to twine using mini clothespins.

And that’s it! 👻

I hung my DIY ghost garland on the hutch in my dining room, and I think it adds the perfect amount of spooky cute Halloween decor without spending a bunch of money.

You could easily customize this budget-friendly fall DIY too! Instead of ghosts, try pumpkins, leaves, bats, or whatever shape fits your fall decor. The possibilities are endless!

Save this easy DIY Halloween decor idea for your next fall craft night, and tell me: would you make the ghosts or switch them out for another fall shape?!

Easy Pumpkin Topiaries

I had my cute painted terra cotta pots all empty and sad after all my summer flowers died. And I wasn’t really feeling replacing them with any fall plant, because I already have enough mums to water on my front porch! So I came up with this idea to create easy pumpkin topiaries with them instead.

Since the pumpkins are faux, I don’t have to worry about rotting either so that’s less stress for me! You could easily have these displayed inside your home or outside on the porch like I did.

All you need are a few supplies and a little bit of time and that’s it!

Easy Pumpkin Topiaries
Look how cute these turned out to be!

This post contains affiliate links. Click here to read my disclosure policy.

Supplies Needed:

  • Faux Pumpkin Stems (I used white to keep it neutral but if you want to go for color, you totally can!)
  • Small Styrofoam Balls
  • Faux Moss
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Hot Glue Sticks
  • Terra Cotta Pots
Materials Needed for Easy Pumpkin Topiaries
Everything you need to get started!

Attach Faux Pumpkin Stems to Pot

I didn’t want this to be a permanent thing for my terra cotta pots. Especially since I use them for actual flowers during the spring and summer.

So to secure these easy pumpkin topiaries to the pot, I simply placed a styrofoam ball into the bottom of it. And then I just stuck the faux pumpkin stem right into it.

I did have to trim the stems down a tad because they were too long for my pot.

Adding Styrofoam to Pot
Here you can see the styrofoam ball fits perfectly into my terra cotta pot.

After trimming the stem down and placing it into the styrofoam ball, you may notice there is a tad bit of gaping around the rim.

The pumpkin almost fit completely on top of the pot, but I didn’t like the slight space around it. I decided that this was where the faux moss and greenery would come in handy!

Sticking Pumpkin into Pot
You can see the little bit of gaping in between the pumpkin and pot.

Attach Faux Moss to Pumpkins

Like I said above, I wanted this to be temporary so I can easily remove the pumpkins after fall is over. So I decided to use my hot glue gun and apply some hot glue right on the pumpkin and not on the rim of my pot.

Working quickly, I attached the faux moss on the pumpkin while the glue was still warm. Be careful not to burn yourself though. Let the hot glue dry for a few seconds before you place the moss on.

Attaching Faux Moss to Pumpkin
In the process of adding all the moss to the pumpkin topiaries.

Finish Up Pumpkin Topiaries

After I had glued the moss on the pumpkins, I noticed some of the pieces were a tad bit longer than others. I went back with scissors and just trimmed up the crazy pieces.

I wanted it to have a nice, uniformed look. After that, they were completely finished! How easy is that?! And the fun part with these is you can make it your own.

Like I stated above, I wanted to keep mine neutral since I was going to place them on the porch when I finished them.

However, if you want to use colored pumpkins, go for it! Or, if you don’t want to use a painted terra cotta pot like mine, use the original one.

The options are completely endless and you can definitely make it your own. You could even use bigger pots and bigger pumpkins if you wanted a larger topiary.

I placed my finished easy pumpkin topiaries outside around my vintage milk can. I also added in some battery operated candles in between them so they can have a nice glow in the evening time.

It is also directly between my rocking chairs so I think it gives this space just the right amount of fall touches!

And obviously, the first day of fall deserves to be celebrated with a homemade fall treat… so now the only question is: what should I bake today?!

Apple butter pie? Apple cider cookies? Pumpkin bread? 👀

We had the BEST time at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove We had the BEST time at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove this weekend watching the pros play, soaking up the gorgeous mountain views, and just enjoying such a fun day together!

Western North Carolina really does have some of the prettiest places. 🤍

Golf fans: would this be your perfect weekend too?! ⛳️👇🏻

Y’all, I need your help settling a very important Y’all, I need your help settling a very important debate. 🤣👇🏻

I have an event coming up in October that calls for cocktail attire, so naturally I found TWO cocktail dresses I love and now I can’t decide which one to wear. 😂

They’re basically the same color, but totally different vibes…

✨ Dress 1: sleek + satin
✨ Dress 2: sparkly + sequined

I think I’m Team Dress 1, but my hubby is firmly Team Dress 2… so we need outside opinions before this turns into a full household debate. 🤣

Which one would YOU wear for an October cocktail attire event?!

Consider this your reminder that Halloween cookies Consider this your reminder that Halloween cookies do NOT have to be complicated! Just add colorful sprinkles and candy eyeballs to sugar cookies and suddenly you’ve got the cutest little monster cookies. 👀🎃

Would you make these with homemade cookie dough or take the store-bought shortcut?! 👇🏻

Comment “APPLES” below and I’ll send you my full step-by-step guide! 🍎❄️

And tell me, what’s the FIRST apple recipe you’d make with them?! 👇🏻

There’s just one tiny problem… I can’t dance to sa There’s just one tiny problem… I can’t dance to save my life, I’m not Mormon, I’m not a mom, and I’m pretty sure binge-watching every season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives does NOT count as an application. 🤣

But seriously… why do all the Mormon wives look SO cute in their matching sweat sets?! Like they just casually throw one on and look effortlessly put together.

Meanwhile, most sweat sets have me looking like an oversized pumpkin with a drawstring. 🎃😂

BUT THIS ONE?! 👏🏻

This Aerie sweat set might finally be my MomTok moment because I’m obsessed. It’s comfy, cute, and actually makes me feel put together while still basically wearing pajamas, which is exactly the kind of fashion I support. 😂

And obviously, the only appropriate activity while wearing it is binge-watching the new season of SLOMW. 👀

So… who else already blew through the entire season?! 😂 I need to know ALL your thoughts because I have opinions. Drop yours below! 👇🏻
