I almost didn’t post this. After sharing all of ou I almost didn’t post this. After sharing all of our beach vacation content last week, it probably looked like we had the perfect trip. Smiles, sunsets, seafood, beach days, and we truly did make some amazing memories.
But social media rarely shows everything. What you didn’t see was my heart pounding every time I carried my beach bag down to the sand. Feeling so dizzy and nauseous that I had to run back to the condo just to throw up. Watching my heart rate skyrocket and my Apple Watch constantly sending high heart rate notifications, even while I was just sitting at dinner or relaxing on the couch. Imagine how high it gets when I’m actually doing something. You didn’t see my hands shaking so badly that putting on my makeup became a challenge.
Or the hours spent on the phone with doctors, insurance companies, and specialists trying to get referrals approved, MRIs scheduled, and answers that still haven’t come. After weeks of waiting, I finally got my brain, spine, and lower back MRIs scheduled, but they’re not until August 18. So now comes even more waiting and hoping for answers. 🙃
You didn’t see me checking my suitcase over and over, terrified I’d forget an important medication or something I might need while we were away.
And when we finally made it home? I ended up with what seemed like an allergic reaction, my right eye swelled shut, burned, and watered nonstop, my nose couldn’t decide if it wanted to be stuffed up or run like a faucet, and I topped it all off with a pounding migraine. This is the reality of living with an invisible illness.
You learn how to smile through the symptoms. You push through when you can. You rest when you have to. And you become really good at making things look “normal” even when your body is fighting you every step of the way. So if you’ve ever looked at someone’s vacation photos and thought they must have it all together, this is your reminder that you never know what someone is carrying behind the scenes.
And to my sweet hubby, thank you for giving me grace, slowing down when I need to, carrying the things I can’t, and reminding me that making memories together is what matters most ♥️

Best Steak Seasoning To Buy

If y’all been around here long enough, then you probably know that we love to cook steaks. Especially filets. They are perfect for a stay at home date night or special occasion. So I figured it would be fun to share all about the best steak seasoning to buy.

I know there are a lot of options out there and it can be tricky to choose just one. But, there is one brand that we come back to time and time again.

And in our opinion, it has the best flavor and makes for the best steak. You could always make your own homemade steak seasoning, but why make it when the perfect one already exists? No matter what cut of beef you buy, this seasoning is hands down the best around!

This post also contains affiliate links, which means I make a small commission off anything you purchase through here, at no additional cost to you. Please read my full privacy policy for more details.

What Is The Best Store-Bought Steak Rub?

In my opinion, my favorite steak seasoning is from Golden Steer Steakhouse which is located in Las Vegas actually. But, don’t worry! You can get all their amazing seasonings (and even their steaks) online too.

They have many different seasonings to choose from, but if you’re wanting to season a good steak, especially a filet mignon, then you need their Sergio’s Seasoning blend. This is a unique and flavorful kosher salt and black pepper blend and it was crafted by their lead butcher, Sergio.

The Best Steak Seasoning To Buy

This seasoning salt blend is designed to be the base of every meal. It really enhances the flavor of the meat without overpowering it. Y’all may remember my post on how to sear the perfect filet, and this was the exact tasty seasonings that we used when making the filets.

You just sprinkle this mix onto the surface of the steaks and then let them sit out at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking them and that’s it. Check out that post for more detailed instructions on how to make the perfect filet! But, it is so simple and easy!

I promise you, if you’re a huge steak lover like myself and my husband, you will not be disappointed with the combination of flavors this spice blend brings!

The Outlaw Rub

Now, Golden Steer also offers more than just their famous Sergio’s Seasoning blend. Another one of their popular blends is their Outlaw Rub. This blend has the perfect amount of sweet, spicy, and smoky flavors.

Best Steak Rub
Seasoning Steak

Whether you’re grilling, roasting, or slow cooking, this perfect seasoning blend definitely delivers! This is the perfect steak rub if you want a good grilled steak. Or this spice rub is perfect for cooking pork chops, pork tenderloin, Hanger steak, chicken, and New York Strip.

The robust flavor it brings to the meat makes for a delicious dry rub recipe. I love how versatile this seasoning can be!

Grilling Steak

This rub is made from a blend of red pepper flakes, sea salt, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, paprika, oregano, coriander seeds, chili powder, and cumin to make a perfect blend of savory flavors together.

The 308 Seasoning Set

Golden Steer also offers a three pack of their best selling steak seasonings as well. This includes Sergio’s Seasoning that I mentioned above, as well as a lemon-pepper based Bowtie Seasoning and an Italian Herb Table 40 Seasoning as well.

This is the best thing to get if you want to try more than one seasoning out. The Bowtie Seasoning is perfect for fish and/or chicken where as the Italian Herb seasoning is the best seasoning for your side vegetable dishes.

Seasoned Brussel Sprouts
Golden Steer Seasoning

To store these seasonings, just keep them in a dry place such as a pantry until you are ready to use them for some great flavor!

Enjoy The Best Steak Seasoning

Well, I hope the next time you decide to season steak, you use some of the seasonings I have listed above. It is so much better than just your traditional table salt and pepper.

And much easier than making your own homemade spice blend too. These seasonings are definitely next level and in my opinion, is the best way to season a steak! And, Golden Steer was nice enough to give me a 10% off coupon when you use my link to order!

Which is a great deal considering they aren’t even that expensive. And, if you really want to go all out, you can always order a beef steak from them too! So be sure to try out some of their delicious seasonings on whatever cut of steak you prefer.

I know the hint of sweetness and the depth of flavor to them will have you wanting more. Have you ever tried Golden Steer steak seasonings before?! If so, I’d love to hear what you think about them below as well!
