One thing people don’t talk about enough is how ch One thing people don’t talk about enough is how chronic illness doesn’t just affect the person who’s diagnosed, it changes the lives of the people who love them, too. ❤️

Living with an invisible illness can feel incredibly isolating, but having a supportive spouse has made all the difference in my journey. Through countless doctor appointments, unanswered questions, difficult days, and moments when I’ve felt like giving up, my husband has been my biggest advocate, my safe place, and my constant source of strength.

I know not everyone has that kind of support, and my heart truly goes out to anyone navigating chronic illness on their own. No one should have to carry that weight by themselves.

To every caregiver, spouse, partner, family member, or friend who continues to show up with patience, compassion, and love; you matter more than you know. Thank you for making the hard days a little easier. 🤍

If you’re living with a chronic illness, tag someone who’s been there for you, or send this to the person who’s helped carry you through your hardest days. They deserve to know how much they’re appreciated.

Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outsid Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outside with the breeze slightly blowing right now instead of it being 100 degrees outside! 🤣

But seriously though, one sip and you’ll see why this cozy fall drink is a fan favorite. Made with warm apple cider, cinnamon, caramel, and whipped cream, it tastes like autumn in a cup, and the best part? There’s no coffee, so it’s perfect for kids and anyone who isn’t a coffee drinker!

I finally shared my easy Starbucks copycat Caramel Apple Spice recipe on the blog, and it’s so simple to make at home whenever those fall cravings hit. 🤎 Comment “Recipe” below and I’ll send it straight to you!

Have you ever tried a Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice before, or will this be your first time? Let me know below! 👇🏻 And don’t forget to save this recipe for cozy season and share it with your fellow fall lovers!

No matter what style, brand, or pair of sunglasses I buy, they ALWAYS slide down my nose the second I lay on my stomach. 🤦‍♀️ I’ve tried expensive ones, cheap ones, trendy ones—you name it. Same result every time!

At this point I’m convinced I either have a weirdly shaped face or gravity just has a personal vendetta against me. 😂

It’s honestly one of my biggest pool day pet peeves because I can never stay comfortable long enough to tan my back. So while the front of me is getting plenty of sunshine, the back is staying pale because I’m constantly giving up and rolling back over. ☀️🤣

Please tell me I’m not the only one! Do your sunglasses slide down your nose too, or have you found a magical pair that actually stays put? 👇😎

Apparently they decided to leave me exactly 4 cherry tomatoes and half a cucumber today. How thoughtful. 🤣

But wait until the end because you’ll see the sweetest little baby deer… and honestly, how am I supposed to stay mad after that?! 🥹❤️ They can have all the cherry tomatoes they want.

The only sad part? I haven’t harvested a single heirloom tomato this year because the deer keep eating them before they’re ripe enough to pick. 😅 I guess my garden has officially become a wildlife buffet.

If you’ve been following my chronic illness journe If you’ve been following my chronic illness journey for a while, you already know how many doctors, specialists, tests, and appointments I’ve been through. Time after time, I was told I was “fine,” “everything looks normal,” or that it was “just anxiety.”

But after my appointment with @carolina_functional_neurology, I finally felt heard.

They agreed that what I’ve been experiencing is not normal. They believe I have POTS, and they also think there could be other neurological issues that need to be investigated. After years of questioning myself because of medical gaslighting, hearing a doctor validate my symptoms was something I’ll never forget.

At this point, I don’t think one Netflix documentary would be enough to cover this whole journey. 🤣

The saddest part? I know so many of you have messaged me saying you’ve experienced the exact same thing. It’s heartbreaking how common medical gaslighting has become, especially for people living with chronic illness or invisible illnesses.

So if you’re still searching for answers, this is your reminder: don’t stop advocating for yourself. Keep asking questions. Keep pushing for second opinions. Keep fighting for the care you deserve.

You know your body better than anyone else.

And if you’ve been medically gaslit too, I want you to know you’re not alone. ❤️

The stars of this business venture, Toby and Riley, have fully consented to the arrangement (by accepting treats), and they strongly support me staying home so I can dedicate more time to serving their every need. 😜

Honestly, with content this cute, retirement might be closer than I thought. 🤣

Yesterday felt like a turning point. 🤍 We drove t Yesterday felt like a turning point. 🤍

We drove to Charlotte to see a functional neurologist, and for the first time in a long time, I left an appointment feeling heard instead of dismissed.

After listening to everything I’ve been experiencing and putting me through what they jokingly called the “Brain Olympics” 😂 (seriously…SO many neurological tests), they agreed that my symptoms are not normal. They also agree that I likely have POTS, which honestly brought so much validation after everything I’ve been through.

The testing also showed signs that something may be going on with my cerebellum that’s causing my autonomic nervous system to misfire. Because of that, they want me to get a brain MRI to investigate further, including looking for things like Chiari malformation. They’re also ordering additional bloodwork and testing for celiac disease to make sure nothing else is contributing to everything I’ve been experiencing.

Am I nervous? Absolutely.

But for the first time in a very long time, I also feel hopeful.

I know none of these are answers yet, but having a doctor who believes me, listens, and is committed to figuring this out means more than I can explain. After years of wondering if I was just imagining things or being told my tests were “normal,” that validation alone feels like a huge win.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and shared your own experiences. Your support has helped me keep pushing for answers when it would’ve been easier to give up.

I’m taking this journey one step at a time, and I’ll continue to keep you all updated. ❤️

Have you ever had to fight to get a doctor to truly listen to you? I’d love to hear your story in the comments. 👇

Tips for Adding Simple, Fall Touches to Tiered Trays

Today, I am going to share with you all my tips for adding simple, fall touches to a fall tiered tray. If you’re a lover of farmhouse decor like me, then you probably see a lot of beautifully decorated tiered trays out there for every season on Instagram or Pinterest.

You may think that that there’s no way you’ll ever get your tiered tray to look that good. I remember thinking that when I first started decorating tiered trays too.

I was so excited to buy a tiered tray. But, when I finally brought it home to decorate, I was completely stumped. It was a lot harder than I thought. It didn’t come to me naturally and I thought that it would.

So I figured I would share some tips I’ve learned along the way with you. And share plenty of tiered tray decor ideas too. I’m by no means an expert. However, if you are having a hard time with them too, I would love to be able to offer you some advice!

This post also contains affiliate links, which means I make a small commission off anything you purchase through here, at no additional cost to you. Please read my full disclosure policy for more details.

1. Choosing the Right Tray

Believe it or not, choosing what kind of tray is important because there are a lot out there. I personally have a few and I like having two different styles to choose from.

It’s nice to have multiple ones, that way you can do a different themed tiered tray for each one. For example, do one fall themed specifically and then another one Halloween themed specifically.

And each tray can be easier or harder to style, depending on the shape. My three-tiered tray one has a lip around each shelf. I feel like that kind of makes it a little harder to style because if you put something short in there, the lip may cover it up. So I’ve learned that using risers and taller items are best for that tray.

My other two-tiered tray is completely flat and it is much simpler to add smaller items to because you can see them easily. Especially fall signs because you can actually read them and see them.

This tray is actually a dessert stand from the Hearth and Hand collection at Target, but I decided I wanted to use it as a tiered tray instead. You can see a picture of that one at the very top of this post.

Below is a picture of my three-tiered tray. I got that tray from Hobby Lobby and that is a great place to start looking for one. They usually have fairly reasonable prices for their trays. I have found several I love off of an Etsy shop, but those are usually more pricey.

So I recommend finding a cheaper tray to start out with to make sure you actually enjoy decorating tiered trays before investing in a more expensive option.

Fall Tiered Tray

A newer addition I have made to my tiered tray collection is this beautiful white tiered tray I have pictured below. I love the farmhouse style to it.

Plus, it is the perfect kitchen decor piece as well since it matches perfectly while sitting on my kitchen counter. This one is also perfect to display wooden signs or mini signs with as well.

2. What Items You Need to Fill in Your Tray

If you know me, then you know I love Rae Dunn. I like to keep basic pieces in my tray year round. I usually style them towards the back of the tray to fill up the backside and then add a few seasonal pieces in the front of the tray to show them off.

But, if you’re looking for a little more bang for your buck, be sure to check out the Dollar Tree too. They have so many fall decorations at a great and reasonable price. They also have a great selection of Halloween decor too. I always love getting a great find at my local Dollar Stores for a cheap price!

Another thing I love to add are garlands to my tiered trays for a pop of color.

You can find a lot of handmade garlands off of Esty or you can just make your own! I also love to support small shops so I have a lot of cute fall pieces that I’ve gotten from some of the shops I follow on Instagram.

Also, I like to add in my tray to give it some fluff, is some seasonal decor pieces from the Target Dollar Spot. You can usually find some great pieces for just a few dollars and I am all about styling a beautiful tray for less money! They usually have a great selection of small signs or small little white pumpkins to choose from.

The pumpkins and pine cones are from the Dollar Spot and they are the perfect size to fill in the top tier of my tray. Plus, the pine cones add in a great natural texture to this beautiful fall display as well!

Adding greenery or small seasonal colored stems is also a great choice to fill in some small space on your tray as well. These items are the perfect choice to add in simple, fall touches to your tiered tray.

Plus, be sure to check out other seasonal fall decor at stores such as foam pumpkins, pumpkin ornaments, a hello fall sign, sweater pumpkins, velvet pumpkins, etc. There is literally so many adorable fall pieces you can find and add to your tiered tray!

Fall decor

3. Where to Place Your Finished Tray

I like to always have the backside of my tray against the wall. That makes it easier for me to style. I mainly focus on how the front and the sides look since that is all you see when walking by. It’s also good to make sure your tray is eye level. That makes it easier to style as well.

I am always super impressed with people who use tiered trays as a table centerpiece where you can see it from all around. It’s hard to make it look great from every single angle and I just don’t think I am that talented to do that so I like to try to make it as simple as possible!

I usually just put regular items in the back or near the bottom tier that aren’t seasonal to fill the space. It doesn’t really matter what you put back there since you can’t really see it.

That has been the biggest tip that has helped me successfully style tiered trays as well. I also have my smaller tiered tray placed on my coffee bar so I like to style it with a lot of coffee related pieces and decor.

I plan on making it like a hot cocoa bar for Christmas time full of holiday decor too! That’s why I love tiered trays, you can give them a whole new look easily!

Halloween tiered tray

4. Making Easy Changes For Every Season

I don’t decorate much at all for Halloween, but I figured I could do a little tiered tray this year. As you can see above, I pretty much just kept the same layout as my fall tray, I just changed out a few mugs.

If you’re like me and don’t decorate too much for Halloween, be sure to check out my Minimalist Halloween Decor Ideas here too! But, it’s always fun to make themed tier trays for every season, so I do like to add in a few Halloween decor pieces here and there.

That’s why I love Rae Dunn pieces so much. They make changing out your decor easy and simple. I basically just switched my color scheme for this one, but kept the placement the same!

Fall tiered tray

5. Don’t Give Up!

Just keep playing around with your tiered tray until you come up with something that you like. There are no set rules to them and that is what makes them so much fun!

And if you get stumped along the way, just take a step back from it and come back to it when you are ready. I had to do that multiple times when styling my trays.

Tips for adding simple fall touches to tiered trays
Pin for later!

I hope this has been helpful for you and I would love to see how you style your tiered trays! Hopefully, this has given you a little tiered tray inspiration! Basically, there is no perfect way to decorate one, just do what feels right to you!

Whatever seasonal vibes you want to bring into your tray, bring them on! Don’t be intimidated to add in some tiered trays to your dining room, living room, or home decor rotation!

It’s a great idea to display some fun fall decor! Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons and I really enjoy decorating for it! So happy fall y’all and have a fun time styling all your different tiered trays!

I know not everyone has that kind of support, and my heart truly goes out to anyone navigating chronic illness on their own. No one should have to carry that weight by themselves.

Anyone else have this problem when you’re laying o Anyone else have this problem when you’re laying out by the pool or at the beach trying to read a good book? 😅

POV: You spend months growing a vegetable garden… POV: You spend months growing a vegetable garden… just to realize you’re actually gardening for the neighborhood deer. 😂🌱🦌

Tell me I’m not the only one… What keeps eating your garden? Deer, squirrels, rabbits, or something else? ⬇️

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 I’ve decided to start an Onl 🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

I’ve decided to start an OnlyPaws account so I can finally quit my job and become a full-time stay-at-home cat mom. 😹

I mean, who wouldn’t pay premium content prices to see adorable cat toe beans, fluffy paws, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of two spoiled indoor cats living their best lives? 🐾😂

Anyone else flip the switch to fall mode the secon Anyone else flip the switch to fall mode the second the Fourth of July is over? 🍂😂

Don’t get me wrong, I still love summer, pool days, and sunshine. But there’s just something about fall that has my heart. The cozy vibes, cooler weather, pumpkin everything, fall candles, football Saturdays, and not melting the second you step outside? Yes, please! 🤎🍁

Don’t worry… I’m not decorating for fall just yet (I’m trying to be patient 😅), but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming about all the fall decor, cozy nights, and crisp autumn days ahead!

Now I have to know… are you Team Fall 🍂 or Team Summer ☀️? Let the debate begin!

POV: The perfect Fourth of July doesn’t have to be POV: The perfect Fourth of July doesn’t have to be extravagant. 🇺🇸

I hope y’all had the best Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙 We had the sweetest, low-key Independence Day celebrating at home, and honestly… it was one of my favorite holidays yet.

We spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool, then my hubby smoked his famous ribeyes for a delicious family dinner. 🥩(comment “Recipe” below if you want me to send it your way! 😉) After that, we hopped on the golf cart and drove around until we found the perfect spot to watch the Fourth of July fireworks near our house. 🎆

Getting to enjoy an incredible meal, beautiful fireworks, and all the patriotic fun without fighting the big crowds? I’d call that a total win! 🙌🏻 There’s just something so special about simple summer nights spent with the people you love.

Now I have to know… did you stay home this year or go out to celebrate? 🇺🇸❤️

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! ❤️🤍💙 I still can 🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! ❤️🤍💙 I still can’t believe we’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday today!

It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful (and VERY hot 🥵) Fourth of July, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. This year we’re keeping things simple with a low-key Independence Day celebration at home, and honestly… it’s exactly what we needed.

We’ll be spending the day relaxing by the pool before my hubby fires up the smoker for his famous ribeyes. Nothing beats a classic 4th of July cookout with good food, sunshine, and the people you love. 🇺🇸🥩☀️

As much as we love traveling for the holiday, sometimes staying home reminds you that the simple moments are the best ones.

What are your Fourth of July plans this year? Are you grilling, watching fireworks, heading to the lake, or just relaxing at home? Tell me below! 🎆

Wishing you all a safe, happy, and memorable Independence Day as we celebrate 250 years of America. God bless America! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
