I’ve also read that women with endometriosis may experience symptoms associated with perimenopause earlier than average, and honestly… as if endometriosis hasn’t put us through enough already. 😅

One thing people don’t talk about enough is how ch One thing people don’t talk about enough is how chronic illness doesn’t just affect the person who’s diagnosed, it changes the lives of the people who love them, too. ❤️

Living with an invisible illness can feel incredibly isolating, but having a supportive spouse has made all the difference in my journey. Through countless doctor appointments, unanswered questions, difficult days, and moments when I’ve felt like giving up, my husband has been my biggest advocate, my safe place, and my constant source of strength.

I know not everyone has that kind of support, and my heart truly goes out to anyone navigating chronic illness on their own. No one should have to carry that weight by themselves.

To every caregiver, spouse, partner, family member, or friend who continues to show up with patience, compassion, and love; you matter more than you know. Thank you for making the hard days a little easier. 🤍

Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outsid Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outside with the breeze slightly blowing right now instead of it being 100 degrees outside! 🤣

But seriously though, one sip and you’ll see why this cozy fall drink is a fan favorite. Made with warm apple cider, cinnamon, caramel, and whipped cream, it tastes like autumn in a cup, and the best part? There’s no coffee, so it’s perfect for kids and anyone who isn’t a coffee drinker!

I finally shared my easy Starbucks copycat Caramel Apple Spice recipe on the blog, and it’s so simple to make at home whenever those fall cravings hit. 🤎 Comment “Recipe” below and I’ll send it straight to you!

At this point I’m convinced I either have a weirdly shaped face or gravity just has a personal vendetta against me. 😂

It’s honestly one of my biggest pool day pet peeves because I can never stay comfortable long enough to tan my back. So while the front of me is getting plenty of sunshine, the back is staying pale because I’m constantly giving up and rolling back over. ☀️🤣

Apparently they decided to leave me exactly 4 cherry tomatoes and half a cucumber today. How thoughtful. 🤣

But wait until the end because you’ll see the sweetest little baby deer… and honestly, how am I supposed to stay mad after that?! 🥹❤️ They can have all the cherry tomatoes they want.

The only sad part? I haven’t harvested a single heirloom tomato this year because the deer keep eating them before they’re ripe enough to pick. 😅 I guess my garden has officially become a wildlife buffet.

If you’ve been following my chronic illness journe If you’ve been following my chronic illness journey for a while, you already know how many doctors, specialists, tests, and appointments I’ve been through. Time after time, I was told I was “fine,” “everything looks normal,” or that it was “just anxiety.”

But after my appointment with @carolina_functional_neurology, I finally felt heard.

They agreed that what I’ve been experiencing is not normal. They believe I have POTS, and they also think there could be other neurological issues that need to be investigated. After years of questioning myself because of medical gaslighting, hearing a doctor validate my symptoms was something I’ll never forget.

At this point, I don’t think one Netflix documentary would be enough to cover this whole journey. 🤣

The saddest part? I know so many of you have messaged me saying you’ve experienced the exact same thing. It’s heartbreaking how common medical gaslighting has become, especially for people living with chronic illness or invisible illnesses.

So if you’re still searching for answers, this is your reminder: don’t stop advocating for yourself. Keep asking questions. Keep pushing for second opinions. Keep fighting for the care you deserve.

You know your body better than anyone else.

And if you’ve been medically gaslit too, I want you to know you’re not alone. ❤️

The stars of this business venture, Toby and Riley, have fully consented to the arrangement (by accepting treats), and they strongly support me staying home so I can dedicate more time to serving their every need. 😜

Yesterday felt like a turning point. 🤍 We drove t Yesterday felt like a turning point. 🤍

We drove to Charlotte to see a functional neurologist, and for the first time in a long time, I left an appointment feeling heard instead of dismissed.

After listening to everything I’ve been experiencing and putting me through what they jokingly called the “Brain Olympics” 😂 (seriously…SO many neurological tests), they agreed that my symptoms are not normal. They also agree that I likely have POTS, which honestly brought so much validation after everything I’ve been through.

The testing also showed signs that something may be going on with my cerebellum that’s causing my autonomic nervous system to misfire. Because of that, they want me to get a brain MRI to investigate further, including looking for things like Chiari malformation. They’re also ordering additional bloodwork and testing for celiac disease to make sure nothing else is contributing to everything I’ve been experiencing.

Am I nervous? Absolutely.

But for the first time in a very long time, I also feel hopeful.

I know none of these are answers yet, but having a doctor who believes me, listens, and is committed to figuring this out means more than I can explain. After years of wondering if I was just imagining things or being told my tests were “normal,” that validation alone feels like a huge win.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and shared your own experiences. Your support has helped me keep pushing for answers when it would’ve been easier to give up.

I’m taking this journey one step at a time, and I’ll continue to keep you all updated. ❤️

Have you ever had to fight to get a doctor to truly listen to you? I’d love to hear your story in the comments. 👇

We spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool, then my hubby smoked his famous ribeyes for a delicious family dinner. 🥩(comment “Recipe” below if you want me to send it your way! 😉) After that, we hopped on the golf cart and drove around until we found the perfect spot to watch the Fourth of July fireworks near our house. 🎆

Tips and Tricks for Styling a Fall Front Porch

I recently finished styling my fall front porch and I thought I would share with you all my tips and tricks for doing so. Especially since I just shared my tips and tricks for styling a fall table a few weeks ago!

I have been decorating our front porch for fall for about three years now and I’ve got to say, it’s my favorite season to do so. Mums, pumpkins, and cooler weather are my favorite.

It makes my coffee sipping in the mornings much more pleasant when I can see a wide array of pretty pumpkins!

Tips and Tricks for Styling a Fall Front Porch
I love the way the mums and pumpkins come together on the front porch steps to create a welcoming fall entryway!

Shop Around for the Best Prices

The only downside to decorating for a fall front porch is the prices. It can get kind of expensive if you are like me and go a little overboard on the mums and pumpkins!

So my first tip would be to just shop around your local area and see where you can find the best deals. I noticed my local Walmart had the best deals when it came to mums.

With them being only $6 a piece, I grabbed most of them while I was there.

Mums
All the pretty mums from Walmart!

Unfortunately, they were out of all the pretty pumpkins such as jarrahdale and fairytale, which is what I wanted. They had great prices on them though.

There was only one left in the bin (and it was cut so I didn’t get it) but it was only around $7. Which is much better than what I spent on pumpkins at Lowe’s.

I went to Lowe’s after Walmart and while they did have the pumpkins I was looking for, they came with a hefty price tag. It was like $12.98 per pumpkin.

Which is crazy but I know at our local farmers market, it is around the same prices too. Thankfully, I had a gift card but I would recommend keep stalking your local Walmarts for the best priced pumpkins!

Such beautiful pumpkins from Lowe’s!

Buy Mums That Aren’t Fully Bloomed Yet

To get the most out of your mums this season, buy them when they aren’t fully bloomed. I know it seems kinda crazy to get flowers with no blooms, but it’s definitely worth it.

Especially since mums can be a little finicky and don’t last too long. If you get the ones that aren’t bloomed all the way, they will last you longer in the season.

Sometimes it can take a week or so before they fully bloom, but it is well worth the wait!

Mums and pumpkins in the car
You can see how most of my mums here have no blooms to them yet. And also, here’s another little bonus tip for you- lay towels down in your trunk to place all the mums and pumpkins on! That way you don’t get your car all dirty bringing everything home too.

Wash Your Pumpkins After Bringing Them Home

This tip for styling a fall porch is super important. Don’t forget to wash your pumpkins when you bring them home! Getting rid of all the dirt on them will help prevent them from rotting.

So don’t be afraid to purchase your pumpkins early in the season as long as you’re prepared to wash them. I used to buy pumpkins too early and didn’t know about washing them so they would always rot sooner rather than later.

I shared all about how to properly wash your pumpkins here last year so be sure to check that out if you haven’t yet.

Clean Your Front Porch

Here’s another tip for Styling a Fall Front Porch, be sure to clean it! This may sound silly, but it definitely helps if you thoroughly clean your porch in between seasons.

I like to give mine a good mop down before adding new decor for the season on it. Plus, it also helps the porch look better when I take photos after I clean it.

We do get a lot of pollen around here and since my porch is stained a dark color, you can always easily see it. So that’s why I like to make sure it’s nice and clean before adding all my pretty decor out here.

Cleaning the Front Porch
Scrub a Dub Dub!

Pick One Spot To Focus On

I do have a rather long front porch, which I am very happy with, but if I wanted to place pumpkins and mums everywhere, it would cost me a fortune!

Another tip I have for styling a fall front porch is to just focus mainly on one area. Whether it be by the front door or the front steps, it definitely helps to just highlight one spot instead of everywhere.

I decided to highlight my front steps. Since you can clearly see them from the road and it creates a really welcoming fall entryway.

Mums and Pumpkins
Mums and Pumpkins
Here you can see more closely how I styled each side of my steps.

I alternated between the mums and pumpkins I bought on each stair and I am happy with the cascading look it created.

Also, on the bottom stairs, I planted some fall flowers in my vintage crocks.

Other Easy Ways to Add In Fall Decor on Your Front Porch

Here’s another important tip for styling a fall front porch- you don’t have to spend a ton of money to create a beautiful fall front porch.

You can easily just add in a few touches here and there to make it more fall like. Such as just grabbing a fun fall door mat! I got mine from Kirkland’s several years ago and I love the fact that it says to “come back with pumpkin spice”. Since I am a huge pumpkin spice lover.

Fall Door Mat
Here is the corner to my front door decor.

You could also make your own decor to save on money! Just like I did with my vintage inspired fall market signs. You can see them scattered about here on the front porch.

Or you could also make some easy pumpkin topiaries like I did as well to create a fall vibe. I also tend to keep everything else on the porch the same but just add in a few little fall touches.

For example, just switch out a wreath or some outdoor pillows and you’re good to go! Also, be sure to just re-use your decor too.

You don’t need to buy new fall decor every year. Just buy a few little things here and there as you need them and just continue to build on your current collection that way instead.

Add Some Cozy Lighting

When Styling a fall front porch, I love to make it cozy! So I tend to go overboard and add in some cozy lighting. Such as battery operated candles, light up pumpkins, and/or tea light candles.

I used both tea light candles and battery operated candles to create this look below on my front porch.

Candles on Fall Front Porch
How cozy and beautiful!

On my back screened in porch, I also added in a few cozy touches. I found these adorable light up pumpkins in various sizes and placed them around the porch.

They are so cozy and pretty at night! I also found this cute little sign as well to add to the fall porch decor!

Well I hope these little tips and tricks help you when you are styling a fall front porch as well. Do you normally decorate your porches for different seasons too?

Or do you mainly just decorate the inside of your home? I am crazy and love to do both!

The last few years, I purchased pumpkins at the beginning of October and they lasted me through November without any rotting. This year I bought a bunch of pumpkins for my porch and they rotted in 2 weeks. I was so bummed! I’ll definitely have to buy a bunch more before we have our Halloween party and I’ll definitely be washing them! This porch turned out so beautifully.

Unfortunately I don’t have a frontporch, but I could really use this tips to decorate my windows on the front of my house, so thank you so much! I’m so ready for fall and Christmas decor again haha.

Oh wow! I also don’t have such a nice front porch area that I could decorate! And if I did, I’m so sure I couldn’t outdo you! lol. I love those flowers but I didn’t know they were called mums! I’ve definitely learnt something new today. Thanks so much and you must be so pleased. All your hard work is showing.

There is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee, a book, a blanket, and being surrounded by fall on my own front porch. I love these ideas-need to get some pumpkins!

I mean, how long do y’all think we’d survive on 3 I mean, how long do y’all think we’d survive on 3 cherry tomatoes, 4 cucumbers, and 2 squash from my vegetable garden? 😂 My raised garden beds have been struggling this year thanks to the deer, but technically my produce is homegrown and fresh!

Although… when you already deal with chronic GI issues every day, would you even notice the difference? 🤣

Any other gardeners having a rough harvest this year, or is it just me? 🌿🍅🥒

POV: It’s 2:37 a.m. and you’re playing everyone’s POV: It’s 2:37 a.m. and you’re playing everyone’s favorite game… “Is this insomnia or is this perimenopause?” 🙃😂

Please tell me I’m not the only one! I’m only 33, but lately I cannot sleep to save my life. Between tossing, turning, and staring at the ceiling, my Kindle and a cup of tea have basically become my nightly routine.

I’ve also read that women with endometriosis may experience symptoms associated with perimenopause earlier than average, and honestly… as if endometriosis hasn’t put us through enough already. 😅

At this point, I’m about ready to start a Late Night Book Club for all the insomnia and perimenopause girlies because apparently none of us are sleeping anyway. 📚☕️😂

So tell me… are you dealing with insomnia, perimenopause symptoms, endometriosis, or all of the above? And most importantly, what has actually helped you sleep? Drop your tips below because your girl is desperate. 💛

If you’re living with a chronic illness, tag someone who’s been there for you, or send this to the person who’s helped carry you through your hardest days. They deserve to know how much they’re appreciated.

Have you ever tried a Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice before, or will this be your first time? Let me know below! 👇🏻 And don’t forget to save this recipe for cozy season and share it with your fellow fall lovers!

Anyone else have this problem when you’re laying o Anyone else have this problem when you’re laying out by the pool or at the beach trying to read a good book? 😅

No matter what style, brand, or pair of sunglasses I buy, they ALWAYS slide down my nose the second I lay on my stomach. 🤦‍♀️ I’ve tried expensive ones, cheap ones, trendy ones—you name it. Same result every time!

Please tell me I’m not the only one! Do your sunglasses slide down your nose too, or have you found a magical pair that actually stays put? 👇😎

POV: You spend months growing a vegetable garden… POV: You spend months growing a vegetable garden… just to realize you’re actually gardening for the neighborhood deer. 😂🌱🦌

Tell me I’m not the only one… What keeps eating your garden? Deer, squirrels, rabbits, or something else? ⬇️

It features multiple heat settings to keep older cats cozy, plus a gentle massage feature that’s perfect for helping senior cats relax after a long day of… well… napping. 😹 Safe to say Toby is obsessed!

Of course, little Miss Riley immediately decided she deserved a turn too. 😂 Apparently this cozy cat bed is approved by cats of all ages!

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 I’ve decided to start an Onl 🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

I’ve decided to start an OnlyPaws account so I can finally quit my job and become a full-time stay-at-home cat mom. 😹

I mean, who wouldn’t pay premium content prices to see adorable cat toe beans, fluffy paws, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of two spoiled indoor cats living their best lives? 🐾😂

The stars of this business venture, Toby and Riley, have fully consented to the arrangement (by accepting treats), and they strongly support me staying home so I can dedicate more time to serving their every need. 😜

Honestly, with content this cute, retirement might be closer than I thought. 🤣

Anyone else flip the switch to fall mode the secon Anyone else flip the switch to fall mode the second the Fourth of July is over? 🍂😂

Don’t get me wrong, I still love summer, pool days, and sunshine. But there’s just something about fall that has my heart. The cozy vibes, cooler weather, pumpkin everything, fall candles, football Saturdays, and not melting the second you step outside? Yes, please! 🤎🍁

Don’t worry… I’m not decorating for fall just yet (I’m trying to be patient 😅), but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming about all the fall decor, cozy nights, and crisp autumn days ahead!

Now I have to know… are you Team Fall 🍂 or Team Summer ☀️? Let the debate begin!

POV: The perfect Fourth of July doesn’t have to be POV: The perfect Fourth of July doesn’t have to be extravagant. 🇺🇸

I hope y’all had the best Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙 We had the sweetest, low-key Independence Day celebrating at home, and honestly… it was one of my favorite holidays yet.

Getting to enjoy an incredible meal, beautiful fireworks, and all the patriotic fun without fighting the big crowds? I’d call that a total win! 🙌🏻 There’s just something so special about simple summer nights spent with the people you love.

Now I have to know… did you stay home this year or go out to celebrate? 🇺🇸❤️
