The chocolate and the bourbon really give it a more rich and decadent flavor. And if you top it with some homemade bourbon maple whipped cream too, you’re in for a real treat.

Ingredients Needed For Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie:
- Pre-made pie crust (you can also use a homemade pie crust if you prefer)
 - 2 tbsp bourbon
 - 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
 - 4 eggs
 - 2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
 - 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
 - 1 cup sugar
 - 2 tsp vanilla (I use my homemade vanilla extract for this)
 - 1/2 tsp salt
 - 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted

For Bourbon-Maple Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream
 - 2 tbsp powdered sugar
 - 1 tbsp bourbon
 - 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
 - 1/2 tsp vanilla

How To Make Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie:
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then, make the filling for the pie. If you’re making your own pie crust, you’re going to want to do that first.
But to make things easier, I decided just to use a store bought pie crust instead. To make filling, lightly beat your eggs in a large mixing bowl.

Add in the pecans, bourbon, corn syrup, sugar, vanilla. and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well to combine. Slowly stir in the melted butter until throughly combined.

Pour mini chocolate chips into the bottom of your premade pie crust, lightly pressing them down into the dough.

Then, pour the pecan pie filling on top of the chocolate chips. Bake for 70-75 minutes or until a thermometer in the center reads to 200 degrees.

If your crust starts burning before the pie is done, cover loosely with aluminum foil. Cool finished pie on a wire rack.
Cover and chill for at least two hours before serving and serve with a dollop of bourbon-maple whipped cream! Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.

How To Make Bourbon-Maple Whipped Cream
Combine all the ingredients listed above (1 cup heavy cream, 2 tbsp powdered sugar, 1 tbsp bourbon, 1 tbsp pure maple syrup, and 1/2 tsp vanilla) in the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat until soft peaks form and then serve it on top of finished pecan pie.

Enjoy This Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie!
