I think Oreo cookies are just so classic and it was so much fun to give them a more American spin. And you won’t believe how simple they were to make as well.
I always love a good, seasonal no-bake dessert idea, just like this. Keep on reading for all the details and the full recipe card below!

Ingredients Needed For Patriotic Oreos:

How To Make Dipped Patriotic Oreos
First, lay out some parchment paper on your kitchen counter, or wherever you are working. This definitely helps with the clean up time and greatly reduces the mess made in your kitchen!

Then, heat up your vanilla candy coating based on the manufacturer’s instructions. You can also use melted white chocolate chips, but I find that this candy coating melts easier.

And it makes for a more smooth surface when dipping the Oreo cookies in. I will share the exact product I used below:
You may remember, I used the same candy coating when making my chocolate covered strawberries.

After dipping in your chocolate or candy coating of choice, immediately sprinkle the top of the cookie using some festive patriotic sprinkles.

You want to do this before the candy coating sets. Also, if desired you can decorate them with some red and blue glitter gel like I used here. I will link the exact gel I used below:
I will say though, the gel never really “set” so it was a little sticky. If you’re going to eat these right away, then no problem!

But, if you want to store them, it may get a little sticky and messy! Just wanted to give you a heads up! Let dipped patriotic Oreos set on parchment paper. Once completely dry, you can store and enjoy!
Enjoy Your Patriotic Oreos!
