Office Christmas Tree
The first thing I do when decorating my office for Christmas is to put up my office tree. Now, this one is a small tree, only about 6 feet.
But, it is perfect for the office space because I don’t have much room for a big one. Putting a Christmas tree up is such an easy way to bring in some holiday cheer to your office.
You can even put up some mini Christmas trees if you don’t have room for a large tree! You don’t have to have an elaborate display, just subtle nods to Christmas decor will do!
I keep this small Christmas tree with simple decorations as well. The only Christmas ornaments I put up on it are my vintage Shiny Brites.
Trying to keep with the vintage theme, I only use old and antique looking decor in here! There are various themes you could use as well to decorate your office.
You could go for more of a do it yourself theme and only have DIY decorations up. Such as paper snowflakes. Or the traditional decorations in the red and green color palette.
Or do a gingerbread theme complete with a display of gingerbread houses. The possibilities are endless when it comes to Christmas themes!
Office Christmas Reading Nook
Another favorite spot in my office to decorate is my reading nook area. I spend many hours here sipping coffee and reading a good book!
So I try to bring in as much festive cheer to this corner as I can. The floating shelves above my vintage leather chair are usually how I add in some festive touches.
Some easy ideas to decorate the shelves include placing a vintage Christmas art print on top, some vintage miniature Christmas trees, and the boxes of my Shiny Brite ornaments. I also love to display vintage Christmas cards on a flower flog on the shelf as well.
A modern piece of Christmas decor I have on there is my “You Serious Clark” sign that I got from a small shop on Etsy. Obviously, I had to include that sign because it is in reference to my favorite Christmas movie ever, Christmas Vacation.
You may even remember I made my own Christmas Vacation Sign a few years back too!
Main Office Wall
My main office wall, where I have my “Mornings on Macedonia” sign proudly displayed, is another area where I add some Christmas office decorations.
Starting with a battery operated Christmas wreath on my tobacco basket that’s hanging on the wall. I also have a matching battery operated garland draping down on my electric fireplace too.
The fireplace really gives my office a warm glow and a festive ambiance. I could even hang a Christmas stocking on it too if I wanted!
But, I love having the glow of Christmas lights around me, so it’s nice to not only have the tree, but have the lit garland and wreath as well. If you don’t have space for all that, you could just hang some fairy lights or string lights somewhere in your office space to get you in the holiday spirit!
On the fireplace, I also have my lantern filled with battery operated flameless candles, and a mini dough bowl stuffed with pine and Christmas picks.
Other Office Christmas Decor Ideas
When you go through my office entrance, I have a mail sorter hanging on the wall. And during the Christmas season, I fill it with vintage postcards that have a lot of red and green hues to them.
I also use magnets and hang some on my vintage locker in the corner of my office too. This creates such an inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk in!
As mentioned above, I also put a vintage Christmas card on a flower frog on my desk. This one in particular has cats on it, and when I found it, I knew I had to get it. If you know me, then you know I am a loud and proud cat mom!
So anything that’s Christmas and has cats on it, automatically becomes my favorite festive decorations!
