How To Make Easy Patriotic Sugar Cookie Bars
Now for the fun part! Let’s make some patriotic bars! First thing you need to do is spray a 8×8 baking pan with some non stick cooking spray. Then, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together. Add in the egg and vanilla and almond extracts. Mix well to combine.
In a separate large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, cornstarch, salt. Add flour mixture to wet mixture on low speed. Beat until just combined.
Spread cookie batter into prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cookie base cool completely before adding frosting.

How To Make Patriotic Frosting
In the bowl of stand mixer, combine the softened butter and powdered sugar together. Add in heavy cream and vanilla and mix until light and fluffy.
Add some red food coloring into the frosting if adding. Frost the cooled cookie bars and top with patriotic sprinkles if desired!

Enjoy These Patriotic Sugar Cookie Treats!
Well, I hope you enjoyed this patriotic sugar cookie bar recipe as much as I did. Like I said, super simple and easy to make too! And you can customize them to however you want to as well.
If you don’t want to use the food coloring for the frosting, it will taste just as good without it too. And, if you want to use some red, white, and blue fruit to top them with instead of sprinkles- go for it!
The possibilities are endless, but no matter what you decide, I promised you these cookie bars will be a huge hit! Let me know if you make them too and how you liked them!
