Endometriosis awareness doesn’t end when March doe Endometriosis awareness doesn’t end when March does. 💛

For me (and millions of women) this is a daily battle, not just a “month.” Chronic pain, endless doctor visits, tests, and constantly fighting just to be heard… it’s exhausting, and it’s real.

This month has been especially hard. So many appointments, so many unknowns, and the emotional toll of advocating for your own health over and over again. Women’s pain deserves to be taken seriously the first time, not after we’ve fought to prove it.

I’ll keep using my voice, no matter how small this platform may feel, to raise awareness for endometriosis, chronic illness, and the realities of women’s healthcare. Because change only happens when we keep speaking up.

April brings a new chapter for me- my surgery is finally coming, and I’m holding onto hope that relief is on the other side. 🤍

But please remember: just because Endometriosis Awareness Month is over doesn’t mean this disease disappears. It affects millions of women every single day.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s keep advocating. And let’s keep fighting for better care. 💛 #endometriosis #endometriosissupport #endometriosiswarrior #endometriosisawarenessmonth #endometriosisfighter

Between regular appointments with my PCP, referrals to specialists, booking consults with surgeons, seeing multiple OB-GYNs, cardiology appointments, and all the follow-ups in between… my calendar is basically just doctor visits at this point.

Living with a chronic illness like endometriosis means constantly advocating for yourself, seeing new specialists, running tests, and hoping someone finally has answers. It’s exhausting, expensive, and honestly overwhelming sometimes.

I keep wondering… will there ever be a month where I don’t have multiple medical appointments? Or is this just the reality of living with chronic illness? 😆

If you’re also navigating chronic illness, specialist appointments, and endless doctor visits, just know you’re not alone in this. 💛

Did you know yellow is the official color for Endo Did you know yellow is the official color for Endometriosis Awareness Month? 💛

Which is ironic because I honestly hate the color yellow… but I hate endometriosis even more. 🤣 So this month I’m wearing yellow nails for the cause.

And honestly, it’s a great conversation starter. If someone asks about my nails, I get to tell them about endometriosis awareness and why it matters. Because the more we talk about this disease, the more people start to understand it.

It still blows my mind that 1 in 10 women suffer from endometriosis, yet so many of us struggle for years to get diagnosed, treated, or even taken seriously. Women dealing with chronic pain deserve answers, research, treatment, and funding.

So if wearing yellow nails helps start even one conversation about endometriosis symptoms and women’s health, I’m all for it. 💛

I may be one small voice on the internet, but I’ll keep talking about endometriosis this month and every month after, because this disease affects my life every single day.

I finally got to take my Holter heart monitor off I finally got to take my Holter heart monitor off this morning… and let me tell you, I will NOT miss this thing 😅 But now I’m left with this itchy red mark as a little souvenir.

This was my second round wearing a Holter monitor, because the first time everything came back “normal.” And if you’ve been following my health journey, you know what I’m dealing with is definitely not normal.

Between the shakiness, heart episodes, and living with endometriosis, something is clearly going on. I don’t know yet if it’s POTS, endometriosis related, or something else entirely, but I’m desperate for answers at this point.

The hardest part? Being told over and over that “your labs look normal.” Meanwhile it’s affecting my job, my daily life, and my quality of life. Why do so many women have to fight to be taken seriously in healthcare?

The good news is I actually had another episode on Wednesday while wearing the monitor, so I’m really hoping it finally caught something.

Praying this round wasn’t for nothing and that I can finally get some real answers and a diagnosis soon. 💛 #holtermonitor #pots #potssyndrome #endometriosis #endometriosisawarenessmonth

Tips on How to Keep Your Home Cozy After Christmas

If you’re wondering if you can still have a cozy home after all the Christmas decor is down, then the answer is yes! I have outlined a few tips on how to keep your home cozy after Christmas.

You can use these ideas if you’re still craving the cozy glow feeling of Christmas. The Christmas tree may be put up, but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice that feeling!

Learn how to make your home cozy and implement it all year round! Especially during these harsh Winter months!

Keep your Greenery and Plain Trees Out as Winter Decor

One of my biggest tips for how to keep your home cozy after Christmas is to keep out your plain trees and greenery. I still have a lot of my plain bottle brush trees out and I think they look perfect for Winter.

I didn’t want to jump straight into Spring decor, so I think having a lot of deep greens out around the house makes it feel more cozy while still keeping in touch with the season.

Using pine or evergreen needles are a great way to do this as well. You can display them in a jar or a vase or anything simple, the possibilities are endless!

I am also leaving my pine garland in my dough bowl out a little longer too. I think it’s the perfect step before getting into Valentine’s or Spring decor.

Plain Trees For Winter Decor
As you can see I left my favorite bottle brush trees up on my shelves to enjoy a little longer throughout the winter season!

Use a lot of Texture

I like to add texture in mainly by using pillows and blankets. I love a good cable knit throw and decorative pillow.

You can also use faux furs to make everything feel more warm and cozy inside too. Another thing I like to do is to add a basket with a wicker or seagrass texture to place all my extra pillows and blankets inside of in the living room.

That way you can just grab a blanket whenever you need that extra warmth and it keeps things nice and tidy when you are not using them.

I always love to grab a few textured blankets from TJ Maxx or Homegoods. Especially after Christmas when they have some pretty good sales going on!

Textured Reading Nook
Love all the texture here in this reading nook. From the cable knit blanket, leather chair, and wicker basket, there is plenty to choose from!

Also, my office rug has a lot of texture here as well. You can always use rugs for some added texture in rooms too. Especially if you want to layer them together.

Having a rug in a room that has all wooden floors really helps to warm and cozy up the room!

Use Warm Wood Tones

We have a lot of white and light gray colors in our home so I love to use wooden tones to balance it out.

Having a wooden piece of furniture against a white shiplap wall really pops and it also makes it feel more cozy and homey inside.

It’s also another good texture to use around the home. I love the contrast it gives and it’s so easy to do just by adding a simple wooden bowl or tray to any room in your home.

Warm Wood Tones
I love all the wooden tones of the antique rolling pins against the bright white subway tile.

Wood Toned Coffee Table
Here you can see how I use a lot of warm wood tones in my living room.

Find Ways to Use Cozy Lights

Whether they are string lights or a lamp, find a way to use something other than just regular overhead lighting.

Just having that lighting alone can feel too much and I like to have a soft glow from another light source instead when I am at home relaxing.

I love to have the glow of a candle burning too.

Antique Candle Co in Office
Here is one of my favorite candles from Antique Candle Co!

Not only does it make your space smell great, but it makes it look more cozy too! My favorite candle to have burning are my Antique Candle co candles. Click here to learn more about those if you’re interested!

I have also used string lights in lanterns or even in my centerpiece in my dining room to help keep a cozy glow in the house all year round.

Cozy Lights
Not only is the light from the fire super cozy, but so are the string lights I added around the candle in the lantern.

I hope these simple tips on how to keep your home cozy after Christmas have inspired you and I hope you are able to make your home feel more cozy after reading this.

There’s nothing better than coming home from a hard days work to a nice, comforting and cozy home! Let me know if you try out any of these ideas, or if you have an idea that I didn’t mention above.

I would love to hear them and I hope you all have a cozy day my friends!

Cozy is SO important this time of year. I love curling up under comfy blankets in front of our fireplace and watching the snowfall outside. We haven’t taken our tree down yet, so I will relax by tree light. That being said, I think I need to incorporate some fairy lights into our living room if I love that ambiance so much!

I have not yet taken down our tree, lights and holiday decorations around our home. I was so ready for the cheerfulness of Christmas that I decorated early and dread removing it. I’ll miss the cheer! Your idea of leaving some of the greenery, white lights and candles around through January is one I will take to heart.

POV: You’re chronically ill and your doctor list i POV: You’re chronically ill and your doctor list is longer than your friends list. 🤣
