There’s something extra special about a golf weekend in Asheville, NC, especially when you get to experience a beautiful course like Walnut Cove and see professional golfers in action. And while I may not know everything happening on the course 😂, I can definitely appreciate the atmosphere, the views, and a good excuse for a fun weekend out!

Western North Carolina really does have some of the prettiest places. 🤍

This is one of those tried-and-true recipes I make whenever we’re grilling because it literally goes with EVERYTHING. Burgers, BBQ, hot dogs, ribs, grilled chicken—you name it, and a big bowl of creamy potato salad belongs right beside it. 🙌🏻

And with football season officially here, this easy Southern potato salad is the perfect game day side dish for backyard cookouts, tailgates, football parties, or an easy fall weekend dinner.

It’s classic, creamy, comforting, and one of those recipes everyone keeps going back for another scoop of!

So if your ideal fall weekend involves football on the TV, something delicious cooking on the grill, and all the classic Southern sides, you need to save this one. 😍

I love making homemade sugar cookie dough, but if you’re short on time? Grab the store-bought dough. I fully support taking the shortcut. 😂👏🏻

These easy Halloween monster sugar cookies would be so cute for a Halloween party, spooky movie night, kids’ Halloween treat, or just a fun weekend baking project.

That’s why Hungryroot has been such a lifesaver for me! I can easily search for high-protein recipes, pick exactly what sounds good, and have everything I need delivered straight to my door.

Like this high-protein blackened chicken pasta?! 😍 So easy, so good, and exactly the kind of meal I actually look forward to eating.

The second I saw this black cat in the Target Hall The second I saw this black cat in the Target Halloween decor section, I knew exactly what I had to do… turn it into Charlie. 😹

Obviously, I couldn’t just leave this little black cat statue as-is when I have my very own fluffy tuxedo cat at home! So I grabbed some paint while I was at Target and came home for a little Halloween craft night with my very attentive supervisor. 😂

And when I say Charlie supervised… I mean she watched VERY closely to make sure I got her likeness just right. 👀

I used white paint to recreate her adorable tuxedo face, pink for her little nose, and green for her eyes. Her eyebrow whiskers came out slightly wonky, but honestly… hers are a little wonky in real life too, so we’re calling that accuracy. 😂

When the DIY cat statue was finally finished, Charlie inspected my work and… well… I’m not sure she was impressed. 😹
Obviously she knows she’s MUCH prettier in person, so her Target Halloween decor dupe simply wasn’t up to her standards.

But I think it turned out absolutely adorable! 🐈‍⬛🎃 This was such an easy and fun way to personalize inexpensive Halloween decor and make it look just like your own pet.
Now I need to know… would you paint one to look like your cat?! 👇🏻

🍎 Don’t let those fresh orchard apples go to waste 🍎 Don’t let those fresh orchard apples go to waste! Freeze them instead! 😉

Have you ever tried freezing fresh apple slices?! This is one of my favorite fall kitchen hacks, especially after a trip to the apple orchard! 🍏

Every fall, I come home with WAY more apples than we could possibly eat before they go bad 😂 So instead of letting them sit on the counter, I prep and freeze a big batch of apple slices to use all season long!

It takes a little extra time upfront, but having fresh apple slices ready in the freezer makes fall baking SO much easier. 🥧 You can grab exactly what you need whenever you’re craving apple pie, apple crisp, apple cobbler, apple bread, or any of your favorite cozy apple recipes!

Plus, it’s such an easy way to preserve those delicious fresh-picked apples from the orchard and enjoy them long after apple season is over. 🙌🏻🍎

POV: you made the cutest DIY Halloween decor witho POV: you made the cutest DIY Halloween decor without buying a single thing 👻📖

This is your reminder that fall decor doesn’t have to be expensive! Some of my favorite seasonal decorations are DIY projects made with supplies I already have at home, and this spooky cute DIY ghost banner might be one of my favorites yet.

I started by brewing about 4 bags of black tea and letting it cool. While the tea was cooling, I tore a few pages out of an old book I already had and placed them in a shallow baking dish with the tea. I let the pages soak for several hours to give them that perfectly aged, vintage look.

Once the tea-stained book pages were dry, I used a ghost-shaped cookie cutter to trace little ghosts onto each page. Then I cut them out, added tiny faces with a Sharpie, and attached them to twine using mini clothespins.

And that’s it! 👻

I hung my DIY ghost garland on the hutch in my dining room, and I think it adds the perfect amount of spooky cute Halloween decor without spending a bunch of money.

You could easily customize this budget-friendly fall DIY too! Instead of ghosts, try pumpkins, leaves, bats, or whatever shape fits your fall decor. The possibilities are endless!

Save this easy DIY Halloween decor idea for your next fall craft night, and tell me: would you make the ghosts or switch them out for another fall shape?!

How To Edit Your Photos

You may be wondering how Instagram influencer achieve a perfect grid of excellent photos in their feed. So I am here to give you just a few tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way regarding how to edit your photos.

The biggest secret is getting a collection of easy to use presets! And I have outlined a few of my favorites below so be sure to check it out!

How to Easily Edit Your Photos Using Presets

What is a Preset?

You also may be wondering what exactly a preset is too. I was very new to the Instagram game when I first started out and I had no idea what a preset was. In fact, I went over a whole year before I finally buckled down and purchased my very first preset.

And let me tell you, I wish I did it from the very beginning! It would have saved me so much time and I believe it definitely would have helped me to increase my following sooner rather than later.

But oh well, hindsight is 20/20 so at least I can share what I’ve learned with you guys instead!

Basically, you purchase a preset from any blogger or Instagrammer you want to and then you download them into a free app called Lightroom.

Once you purchase said presets, they will be available in Lightroom for as long as you want them to be! You can continue to reuse them with every photo which is so cool!

I originally thought you had to pay every time you wanted to edit a photo so that’s why I held off on buying presets for so long originally.

Silly me! Presets are definitely a must when it comes to how to edit your photos!

How to Edit Photos in Lightroom
This is a screenshot of editing in my Lightroom app. You can see all my Farmhouse Fresh Presets are saved here for easy reference.

Farmhouse Fresh Presets

I am very happy to report that I have partnered up with Farmhouse Fresh Presets and I can offer these presets to y’all now as well. I have been using them for a few weeks now and I am loving them!

They really make my photos and Instagram feed look 10x better and more defined. This collection comes with 15 different presets and they are only $39.

Which you can also break up into 4 easy payments of $9.75 as well. I paid like $9 for just one preset when I first started trying them, so this really is an incredible deal since you get so many!

The good news too about these presets are that they are both iPhone and Android compatible. When you purchase, you receive the files via a download page and instructions on how to open them in the Lightroom app.

They literally make it so simple and easy on how to download them that there is no confusion at all! I have outlined all the different presets that come in the collection below including all of my before and after pictures as well!

Conclusion

As you can see from the above photos, having a collection of presets is a must in order to edit your photos correctly. Having multiple ones to choose from is always nice because not one preset will work 100% every time for each photo you take.

There are many factors to consider and having a few different ones to choose from always helps when editing to get the best picture. Have y’all ever used a preset before?

Let me know if you try these out and if you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out to me. I would be more than happy to help you out!

I’m trying to put a focus on my images and photography at the moment but certainly struggling with it. I love the idea of presets and this all really make your images pop in their own way.

The best season of the year is FINALLY here, and apparently fall understood the assignment because we’re supposed to get some cooler temperatures this week too! 🙌🏻

After what feels like the longest, hottest summer ever, I am more than ready for crisp fall weather, cozy evenings, changing leaves, pumpkin everything, and ALL the fall baking. 😂🍎🎃

And obviously, the first day of fall deserves to be celebrated with a homemade fall treat… so now the only question is: what should I bake today?!

Apple butter pie? Apple cider cookies? Pumpkin bread? 👀

Tell me your favorite fall dessert below and help me decide! 👇🏻

Happy fall, y’all! 🍂🤎

We had the BEST time at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove We had the BEST time at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove this weekend watching the pros play, soaking up the gorgeous mountain views, and just enjoying such a fun day together!

Golf fans: would this be your perfect weekend too?! ⛳️👇🏻

Y’all, I need your help settling a very important Y’all, I need your help settling a very important debate. 🤣👇🏻

I have an event coming up in October that calls for cocktail attire, so naturally I found TWO cocktail dresses I love and now I can’t decide which one to wear. 😂

They’re basically the same color, but totally different vibes…

✨ Dress 1: sleek + satin
✨ Dress 2: sparkly + sequined

I think I’m Team Dress 1, but my hubby is firmly Team Dress 2… so we need outside opinions before this turns into a full household debate. 🤣

Which one would YOU wear for an October cocktail attire event?!

Consider this your reminder that Halloween cookies Consider this your reminder that Halloween cookies do NOT have to be complicated! Just add colorful sprinkles and candy eyeballs to sugar cookies and suddenly you’ve got the cutest little monster cookies. 👀🎃

Minimal effort + maximum spooky cute. That’s my kind of Halloween baking! 👻

Would you make these with homemade cookie dough or take the store-bought shortcut?! 👇🏻

Want to know how to freeze fresh apples the right way so they’re ready for all your fall baking?!

Comment “APPLES” below and I’ll send you my full step-by-step guide! 🍎❄️

And tell me, what’s the FIRST apple recipe you’d make with them?! 👇🏻

There’s just one tiny problem… I can’t dance to sa There’s just one tiny problem… I can’t dance to save my life, I’m not Mormon, I’m not a mom, and I’m pretty sure binge-watching every season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives does NOT count as an application. 🤣

But seriously… why do all the Mormon wives look SO cute in their matching sweat sets?! Like they just casually throw one on and look effortlessly put together.

Meanwhile, most sweat sets have me looking like an oversized pumpkin with a drawstring. 🎃😂

BUT THIS ONE?! 👏🏻

This Aerie sweat set might finally be my MomTok moment because I’m obsessed. It’s comfy, cute, and actually makes me feel put together while still basically wearing pajamas, which is exactly the kind of fashion I support. 😂

And obviously, the only appropriate activity while wearing it is binge-watching the new season of SLOMW. 👀

So… who else already blew through the entire season?! 😂 I need to know ALL your thoughts because I have opinions. Drop yours below! 👇🏻
