The best season of the year is FINALLY here, and apparently fall understood the assignment because we’re supposed to get some cooler temperatures this week too! 🙌🏻

After what feels like the longest, hottest summer ever, I am more than ready for crisp fall weather, cozy evenings, changing leaves, pumpkin everything, and ALL the fall baking. 😂🍎🎃

And obviously, the first day of fall deserves to be celebrated with a homemade fall treat… so now the only question is: what should I bake today?!

Apple butter pie? Apple cider cookies? Pumpkin bread? 👀

Tell me your favorite fall dessert below and help me decide! 👇🏻

Happy fall, y’all! 🍂🤎

There’s something extra special about a golf weekend in Asheville, NC, especially when you get to experience a beautiful course like Walnut Cove and see professional golfers in action. And while I may not know everything happening on the course 😂, I can definitely appreciate the atmosphere, the views, and a good excuse for a fun weekend out!

Western North Carolina really does have some of the prettiest places. 🤍

This is one of those tried-and-true recipes I make whenever we’re grilling because it literally goes with EVERYTHING. Burgers, BBQ, hot dogs, ribs, grilled chicken—you name it, and a big bowl of creamy potato salad belongs right beside it. 🙌🏻

And with football season officially here, this easy Southern potato salad is the perfect game day side dish for backyard cookouts, tailgates, football parties, or an easy fall weekend dinner.

It’s classic, creamy, comforting, and one of those recipes everyone keeps going back for another scoop of!

So if your ideal fall weekend involves football on the TV, something delicious cooking on the grill, and all the classic Southern sides, you need to save this one. 😍

Consider this your reminder that Halloween cookies Consider this your reminder that Halloween cookies do NOT have to be complicated! Just add colorful sprinkles and candy eyeballs to sugar cookies and suddenly you’ve got the cutest little monster cookies. 👀🎃

I love making homemade sugar cookie dough, but if you’re short on time? Grab the store-bought dough. I fully support taking the shortcut. 😂👏🏻

These easy Halloween monster sugar cookies would be so cute for a Halloween party, spooky movie night, kids’ Halloween treat, or just a fun weekend baking project.

Minimal effort + maximum spooky cute. That’s my kind of Halloween baking! 👻

That’s why Hungryroot has been such a lifesaver for me! I can easily search for high-protein recipes, pick exactly what sounds good, and have everything I need delivered straight to my door.

Like this high-protein blackened chicken pasta?! 😍 So easy, so good, and exactly the kind of meal I actually look forward to eating.

The second I saw this black cat in the Target Hall The second I saw this black cat in the Target Halloween decor section, I knew exactly what I had to do… turn it into Charlie. 😹

Obviously, I couldn’t just leave this little black cat statue as-is when I have my very own fluffy tuxedo cat at home! So I grabbed some paint while I was at Target and came home for a little Halloween craft night with my very attentive supervisor. 😂

And when I say Charlie supervised… I mean she watched VERY closely to make sure I got her likeness just right. 👀

I used white paint to recreate her adorable tuxedo face, pink for her little nose, and green for her eyes. Her eyebrow whiskers came out slightly wonky, but honestly… hers are a little wonky in real life too, so we’re calling that accuracy. 😂

When the DIY cat statue was finally finished, Charlie inspected my work and… well… I’m not sure she was impressed. 😹
Obviously she knows she’s MUCH prettier in person, so her Target Halloween decor dupe simply wasn’t up to her standards.

But I think it turned out absolutely adorable! 🐈‍⬛🎃 This was such an easy and fun way to personalize inexpensive Halloween decor and make it look just like your own pet.
Now I need to know… would you paint one to look like your cat?! 👇🏻

🍎 Don’t let those fresh orchard apples go to waste 🍎 Don’t let those fresh orchard apples go to waste! Freeze them instead! 😉

Have you ever tried freezing fresh apple slices?! This is one of my favorite fall kitchen hacks, especially after a trip to the apple orchard! 🍏

Every fall, I come home with WAY more apples than we could possibly eat before they go bad 😂 So instead of letting them sit on the counter, I prep and freeze a big batch of apple slices to use all season long!

It takes a little extra time upfront, but having fresh apple slices ready in the freezer makes fall baking SO much easier. 🥧 You can grab exactly what you need whenever you’re craving apple pie, apple crisp, apple cobbler, apple bread, or any of your favorite cozy apple recipes!

Plus, it’s such an easy way to preserve those delicious fresh-picked apples from the orchard and enjoy them long after apple season is over. 🙌🏻🍎

POV: you made the cutest DIY Halloween decor witho POV: you made the cutest DIY Halloween decor without buying a single thing 👻📖

This is your reminder that fall decor doesn’t have to be expensive! Some of my favorite seasonal decorations are DIY projects made with supplies I already have at home, and this spooky cute DIY ghost banner might be one of my favorites yet.

I started by brewing about 4 bags of black tea and letting it cool. While the tea was cooling, I tore a few pages out of an old book I already had and placed them in a shallow baking dish with the tea. I let the pages soak for several hours to give them that perfectly aged, vintage look.

Once the tea-stained book pages were dry, I used a ghost-shaped cookie cutter to trace little ghosts onto each page. Then I cut them out, added tiny faces with a Sharpie, and attached them to twine using mini clothespins.

And that’s it! 👻

I hung my DIY ghost garland on the hutch in my dining room, and I think it adds the perfect amount of spooky cute Halloween decor without spending a bunch of money.

You could easily customize this budget-friendly fall DIY too! Instead of ghosts, try pumpkins, leaves, bats, or whatever shape fits your fall decor. The possibilities are endless!

Save this easy DIY Halloween decor idea for your next fall craft night, and tell me: would you make the ghosts or switch them out for another fall shape?!

My Favorite Christmas Candles

I know I shared with you all my favorite fall candles a little while ago, but now I thought I would share with you my favorite Christmas candles too. Especially since the season is quickly approaching, whether you’re ready or not!

I always love to have a stockpile of good Christmas scents on hand, that way I am ready to burn all the cozy scents when we have friends or family over to visit. And of course for Thanksgiving (you can totally burn Christmas scents during Thanksgiving too in my opinion) and Christmas!

This post contains affiliate links. Click here to read my disclosure policy.

Homemade Gingerbread Christmas Candle
Not only do they smell amazing, but they look so pretty styled in trays like this too!

Homemade Gingerbread Candle

So as you can probably tell already, these Christmas candles are from my favorite candle company ever, Antique Candle Co!

They literally make the yummiest and coziest Christmas scents and I just cannot get enough of them! I am so happy to be working with them this Christmas season because I know these will make such great Christmas gifts for all my friends and family.

I will share just a few of my favorite Christmas candle scents below with you all and keep in mind, they have even more options online too!

Christmas Candle Sample Pack

The Homemade Gingerbread candle is pictured above and it smells exactly like the name! It literally smells like you have been slaving away in the kitchen all day baking gingerbread cookies.

This one is their newest scent for their Christmas release and they have outdone themselves with this one for sure.

Homemade Gingerbread is a cozy scent of homemade gingerbread with sweet and spicy blends of ginger, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and brown sugar, finished with warm vanilla.

Antique Candle Co

I just love all their packaging and labeling!

Tree Farm Candle

This one is my very favorite out of all their Christmas candles! I use artificial Christmas trees, so I love to light a good smelling pine candle.

And this one definitely fits the ticket. It smells like you just walked into a Christmas Tree Farm and are about to cut down a fresh tree home to decorate!

It is so nostalgic and perfect for this Christmas season.

Tree Farm Candle
This definitely makes that tree there in my office smell like the real thing!

Also, Antique Candle Co collaborated with Vintage Porch to make this amazing Christmas scent.

I love how they partner with bloggers and influencers to help them come up with their own signature scent.

I would love to be able to do that with them one day too. How cool would that be?!

Cozy Tree Farm Candle
Cozy Tree Farm Candle!

Tree Farm is a nostalgic scent of crisp, freshly trimmed evergreen and Fraser fir pines, wrapped in delicate notes of winter cedarwood.

Antique Candle Co

I could literally burn this sample sized tree farm candle in one sitting!

Christmas Day Candle

This one is also a great option too. I love the spicy cinnamon undertones to it and it smells just like a cozy at home gathering with friends and family.

Lighting one of these up for a Christmas party would be such a great hit!

Christmas Day is a Christmas celebration with top notes fresh pine, cozy balsam, and fir, blended with a heart of cinnamon sticks, clove, and soft hints of fruit and sweet oak moss.

Antique Candle Co
Christmas Day Sample Sized Candle
Can’t believe that Christmas Day is almost here as well!

Good Tidings Candle

Last but not least of my favorite Christmas candles is the Good Tidings candle. This one smells so delicious as well and I love being able to order all four of these Christmas scents in a sample pack before buying a full sized version of them.

The sample packs are such a great way to discover your favorite scents. This was my first year smelling all their Christmas candles too, and I am so glad I started with a sample pack.

That helped me determine that Tree Farm was definitely my number one favorite, but they are all so good too!

Good Tidings is a warm holiday blend of evergreens, citrus, cinnamon, and clove, highlighted by a sweet musk of raspberry, maple, and vanilla.

This is the sample sized candle and they are so perfect for smaller spaces like bathrooms!

Conclusion

I literally can’t get enough of these candles and the Christmas candles are definitely my favorite out of all the seasonal options.

There is just something about lighting a delicious smelling candle along with the cozy glow of Christmas lights.

Have you ever gotten an Antique Candle Co Candle before? If you have, let me know what your favorite scent is below!

Mmm these all sound wonderful. I’m at uni in lockdown at the moment and I miss the smells of my house around Christmas time, especially my sister baking her gingerbread house!!! Is it acceptable to buy myself a candle?… yes i think so 😂

Ooooh, Charity! Each of these sounds absolutely divine. Few things can beat cozying up on a cold night, yummy scented candles lit, plush blanket on the lap, comfy pajamas on, with a cup of hot cocoa in hand. Whew, didn’t your stress level just go down 3 notches even thinking about it? 🙂

By the way, the way you’ve decorated your home is absolutely beautiful. Such an inviting space. As a big fan of Christmas trees and how their soft lighting glows in a room, your office is perfect. You must enjoy creating in such a wonderful space?

The Homemade Gingerbread candle sounds like it might be a winner for me. Do you have a favorite of the ones you’ve listed? I’m a big fan of ‘warm’ scents, which often include notes of cinnamon and vanilla.

Thanks for sharing, Charity. I’ve pinned and shared your post. God bless you. I hope you and your family are well. 💕

Apple butter pie? Apple cider cookies? Pumpkin bread? 👀

We had the BEST time at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove We had the BEST time at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove this weekend watching the pros play, soaking up the gorgeous mountain views, and just enjoying such a fun day together!

Golf fans: would this be your perfect weekend too?! ⛳️👇🏻

I have an event coming up in October that calls for cocktail attire, so naturally I found TWO cocktail dresses I love and now I can’t decide which one to wear. 😂

They’re basically the same color, but totally different vibes…

✨ Dress 1: sleek + satin
✨ Dress 2: sparkly + sequined

I think I’m Team Dress 1, but my hubby is firmly Team Dress 2… so we need outside opinions before this turns into a full household debate. 🤣

Which one would YOU wear for an October cocktail attire event?!

Would you make these with homemade cookie dough or take the store-bought shortcut?! 👇🏻

Want to know how to freeze fresh apples the right way so they’re ready for all your fall baking?!

Comment “APPLES” below and I’ll send you my full step-by-step guide! 🍎❄️

And tell me, what’s the FIRST apple recipe you’d make with them?! 👇🏻

There’s just one tiny problem… I can’t dance to sa There’s just one tiny problem… I can’t dance to save my life, I’m not Mormon, I’m not a mom, and I’m pretty sure binge-watching every season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives does NOT count as an application. 🤣

But seriously… why do all the Mormon wives look SO cute in their matching sweat sets?! Like they just casually throw one on and look effortlessly put together.

Meanwhile, most sweat sets have me looking like an oversized pumpkin with a drawstring. 🎃😂

BUT THIS ONE?! 👏🏻

This Aerie sweat set might finally be my MomTok moment because I’m obsessed. It’s comfy, cute, and actually makes me feel put together while still basically wearing pajamas, which is exactly the kind of fashion I support. 😂

And obviously, the only appropriate activity while wearing it is binge-watching the new season of SLOMW. 👀
