Too early to start Christmas crafting?! I think no Too early to start Christmas crafting?! I think not! 😜🎄

I had some extra oyster shells left over from our beach trip this summer, so instead of letting them sit around, I turned them into these DIY oyster shell Christmas ornaments! You may remember I turned some of the shells into cute little ghosts for Halloween too 👻 But now we’re officially moving on to Christmas crafts!

And I am obsessed with how these turned out! All I needed was some spray paint, pretty wrapping paper, Mod Podge, twine, and hot glue to transform ordinary oyster shells into high-end looking coastal Christmas ornaments.

Not only are these such a pretty addition to your Christmas tree, but they’re also a sweet vacation keepsake! Every year when you pull them out, you’ll have a little reminder of that summer beach trip. 🥹

I always decorate my Christmas tree with gold, so these are going to fit in perfectly with my Christmas decor this year! 🎄

Save this easy DIY Christmas ornament idea for your holiday crafting list!

Would you turn your vacation seashells into Christmas ornaments too?! 🦪

We had the BEST time this weekend at the Carolina We had the BEST time this weekend at the Carolina Charm event at @therevelry_clt benefiting the Isabella Santos Foundation! 💕

From the beautiful venue to the amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere, everything about this night was incredible! And getting to meet @relationshep and @salleycarson from Bravo’s Southern Charm was just the cherry on top! 🍒

Y’all already know how obsessed I am with Charleston and Southern Charm, so this event was basically MADE for me! 🤣 Plus, any excuse to get all dressed up, feel fancy, and enjoy a night out for a great cause? Count me in! 🥂

And the best part was knowing that all the fun was supporting the @isftorch and its mission to help children battling rare pediatric cancers. 💛

At this point, I’ve pretty much met the entire Southern Charm cast except Austen and Madison! So if y’all are reading this, I guess you’re next on my list! 🤣👏🏻

Now I need to know… are you a Southern Charm fan too?! And if so, who’s your favorite cast member?! 👀

Things we’re ghosting this season: waiting until N Things we’re ghosting this season: waiting until November 1st to decorate for Christmas. 🤣

Sorry, but some of us have approximately 57 Christmas trees to put up, and that kind of commitment takes TIME. 😜🎄

And if you think I’m waiting until Halloween is over to start decorating for Christmas, you’ve got another thing coming. 🤣 I may or may not already have a few trees up around the house. 🤫

Listen, I love spooky season just as much as the next person, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having pumpkins AND Christmas trees out at the same time. It’s called balance, okay?! 👻🎄

So consider waiting until November to decorate for Christmas officially GHOSTED. ✌🏻

Now tell me, are you team Christmas decorating in October or team wait until after Thanksgiving?! 👀
Bless my poor husband’s heart because when he marr Bless my poor husband’s heart because when he married me, I don’t think he realized he was signing up for a lifetime of Christmas decorating chaos! 😂

But when you’re a Christmas-obsessed wife who believes EVERY single room in the house deserves its own Christmas tree, you have to start decorating early, right?! 🎅🏻

I mean, putting up multiple Christmas trees, hanging garland, and transforming our entire home into a cozy Christmas wonderland takes TIME! So obviously, October is a perfectly reasonable time to start decorating for Christmas. At least that’s what I keep telling him! 😜

Thankfully, after 10 years of marriage, he knows the drill and just goes along with all my crazy Christmas decorating ideas. He’s a keeper for sure! ❤️

#ad 🎃🐈‍⬛ Don’t throw away that empty cat litter ju #ad 🎃🐈‍⬛ Don’t throw away that empty cat litter jug… turn it into a Halloween boo basket for your cats instead! I’m partnering with @catspride today to put an empty Cat’s Pride litter jug to good use with the cutest little upcycling project. Since the jug was already the perfect Frankenstein green, I knew exactly what I wanted to make! 💚 After cleaning the empty jug thoroughly, we cut off the top to create a basket shape. Then I used my Cricut to add a Frankenstein face before filling it with some of Riley and Toby’s favorite cat treats and Halloween toys. And judging by Toby’s reaction to that catnip owl, I’d say this DIY cat boo basket was a success. 😹 And before the jug was transformed, Cat’s Pride made litter box duty a whole lot easier. I love the odor control and easy scooping, and Riley and Toby are always VERY interested when a fresh box of litter appears. 😂 So consider this your sign to save your next empty litter jug and get creative with it! And when it’s time to stock up on fresh litter, check out Cat’s Pride for your own feline crew. 🐾 Would you make a Halloween boo basket for your cats?! 🎃👇🏻

Just chop up your favorite leftover chocolate candy bars, mix them into the cookie dough, and you’ve got the ultimate easy post-Halloween treat! Plus, every cookie is a little different depending on what candy you throw in. 🙌🏻

This is such a fun way to use up leftover Halloween candy instead of letting it sit around for the next six months. 😂

POV: You finally decide it’s time to tell your ado POV: You finally decide it’s time to tell your adopted daughter the truth about her biological mother… and she is NOT taking the news well. 😭🤣😹

Poor Riley! The look of absolute SHOCK on her face when she hears about her past! 🤣 I swear, the dramatic reactions of cats are just too funny sometimes!

But here’s a fun fact about our little rescue kitty! 🐈‍⬛ When we adopted Riley, my mom actually adopted her biological mama, Smoke! So technically, Riley’s mom lives with her grandma now. 🤣 Which means we can visit her anytime we want!

So don’t worry, Riley! We know exactly where you came from, and your mama is living her best life too! 😹❤️

Please tell me I’m not the only crazy cat mom who makes up dramatic storylines about her cats?! 🤣

Spring Fashion Ideas

Today I thought it would be fun to share with you all some easy spring fashion ideas. We are planning on vacationing to Charleston later in March, so I wanted to show you some pieces I am planning on bringing.

As well as some other casual fashion ideas for the spring too. We all know that spring in the south can be somewhat hard to predict.

Some days can be super warm and some of course can be freezing. With a lot of in between. Which means I will be sharing a variety of clothing ideas that would be perfect for both those warm and colder days.

I hope you enjoy and sharing all these outfit ideas has got me dying for some warmer spring weather!

Spring Fashion Ideas

This post contains affiliate links. Click here to read my disclosure policy.

Spring Dresses

I think my favorite thing about warmer weather, is finally being able to wear pretty dresses again. Not saying you can’t wear a pretty dress during the winter too, but I always freeze trying to wear a dress when it’s cold.

So as soon as it starts to warm up, I am dying to put on a fun and flirty dress.

And I have just the perfect spring dress option to show you! I am loving this beautiful sage green dress. It does have some cutouts on the side of it, which I think makes it a perfect option for a date night.

I wouldn’t necessarily wear it to church like that because I would prefer to wear a jacket with it instead. Just so I would feel more comfortable and not have a ton of skin showing.

But, if you have a night out on the town or out for vacation, this is the perfect dress.

Sage Spring Dress

And I like the fact that it has long sleeves too which makes it perfect for spring. Since it can be a little chilly still sometimes. This dress is definitely flattering and true to size.

I normally wear a Small in dresses and that’s what I ordered. It fits me very well and in fact my hubby loved it so much, he ordered me another dress!

I got the same dress, but in a really fun tropical print pattern. Talk about a perfect vacation dress! I also paired it with one of my favorite camel colored fedoras as well.

Tropical Print Cut Out Dress

I am loving the heels too! They are very flattering and I love the neutral color to them. They will definitely go with any spring dress and they are also true to size.

I normally wear a shoe size 7 and that’s what I got. I am pretty petite, only 5’1″, so I love having a comfortable heel to wear to give me some height too!

Easter Dress Idea

Also, if you’re looking for a good Easter dress, this one pictured above would be perfect! I am wearing the same heels as before (talk about a good shoe investment!) and it works great since this dress is a maxi dress.

However, I will say the fit to this dress is a little more tricky than the other dresses I shared. I got an Extra Small in this one since it was a maxi.

Easter Spring Dress

But, the sleeves to it are a little tight. It fits me perfectly everywhere else though. I didn’t want to size up to a Small though in this one either.

The bust area to it is a little on the big side too so if I went up a size, it would probably be way too big there.

Considering I am very petite though, I was happy the maxi dress actually worked out on me with some heels! I thought it would still be too long on me so I was happy to see that it wasn’t.

Casual Spring Looks

Now that I shared all my dressed up looks for spring, I thought I could share some casual spring fashion ideas as well. I love to dress up when going out, but also still love to be comfortable.

And this beautiful sage green tee is the perfect way to do both! Below, I kind of dressed it up a little with a cardigan and some cute neutral booties and an adorable hat as well.

Casual Spring Outfit
Here are some other pieces to my outfit:

But, you could totally dress the tee down even more for a more casual look as well. Like for example, how I styled it below was with a pair of distressed jean shorts.

I always love a set of good denim shorts and these are just it! I will say though, I had to size down because they run a little big. Typically, I wear a medium, but I actually had to return them for a small.

Casual Spring Look
Here is a link for my shoes too:

Spring Pants

I am not one to pull off wide legged pants because I am so short, but I figured I would at least try some on and see what I think.

The color of these beach pants are so pretty and I think they would be super flattering on someone if they were just a tad bit taller than me!

I decided to return these ultimately, but again, I am only 5’1″ and if I ended up keeping them, I would have had to have them hemmed.

And I don’t have time to find a tailor or go back and forth dropping them off and picking them back up again! So that was my deciding factor for me. I was also wearing some super cute wedges, with a super high heel and they were still a little long on me.

But, if you’re a little taller, then you should definitely go for this look!

Spring Pants

I am more comfortable with skinny jeans personally because I can roll them up if they are a tad bit long on me. I love these black skinny jeans pictured below and I paired it with a cute blush colored button up shirt.

The trend now for button up shirts like this is to apparently tuck in one side of the shirt and leave one side of it out. And I’ve gotta say, it does give you a flattering look!

Spring Casual Look
This is the new trend I am talking about when tucking in a button up shirt. What do you think about it?!

I’m also loving these Dolce Vita heel dupes from Target this year! They come in several colors and are only $34.99 compared to a hefty price tag of over $130!

I can’t hardly tell a difference between them and they are super comfy as well. The nude color is perfect since it will go with so many different outfits too!

Spring Romper

Another spring fashion trend that is new-to-me is a romper. I have of course always seen them advertised but I have never actually tried one out for myself.

So when I saw this cute long-sleeved romper in a fun floral pattern, I thought it would be perfect to try out for spring!

It’s nice that it does have long sleeves, that way if it is a little cold, you are still covered! This romper comes in several colors too so you can take your pick as too which one is your favorite.

And again, I paired the romper with those cute Target dupe heels too!

Spring Romper

Well, I am no fashion blogger by any means, but I do enjoy getting dressed up and going out for a fun date night on the town! And I can’t wait to wear these pieces around Charleston for our upcoming vacation!

So I hope you enjoyed this post and it gave you some spring fashion ideas for when you do the same too! What are some of your go-to spring fashion trends?! Let me know below!

What a fun collection of springwear! I love the Easter dress and would probably wear it into summer, but I love the shorter dress styles you share too.

I am also 5′ 1″ and have the same problem with most pants and leggings I buy; too long! It is such a bummer too, especially when I like what I have bought but cannot compromise by hemming . . .

I do love some easy fashion ideas, as I never know where to start. The flowy sage green dress looks fantastic, perfect for Spring. I like the tropical print pattern even more! I also like the black skinny jeans and blush coloured button-up shirt combo – that is my normal Spring style.

I hope you have a lovely time in Charleston. 😊 Thank you for sharing your fashion ideas.

And this easy Football Cheese Ball might just be the cutest addition to your next football party or tailgate! I’m partnering with @foodlion to create this simple, delicious football-shaped cheese ball using ingredients you can easily grab during your next grocery run.
It’s creamy, cheesy, loaded with ranch and bacon, and perfect for serving with crackers and pretzels. 😍 Here’s what you’ll need:
🏈 FOOTBALL CHEESE BALL:
• 16 oz cream cheese (2 8-oz blocks), softened
• 2 tbsp sour cream
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 oz ranch seasoning (1 packet)
• ¼ cup chopped green onions
• ½ cup chopped bacon or bacon bits
• 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
• 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
🏈 FOR THE COATING:
• ⅓ cup chopped pecans
• ½ cup chopped bacon
• 2 tbsp chopped green onions
• 2 slices white cheese for the football laces
Mix all of the cheese ball ingredients together in the bowl of a stand mixer until combined. Spray a little cooking oil on your hands and shape the mixture into a football. Cut thin strips from the white cheese to create the football laces, arrange everything on a serving tray with your favorite crackers and pretzels, and you have the CUTEST football party appetizer! 🏈🧀
