Please tell me I’m not the only one! I’m only 33, but lately I cannot sleep to save my life. Between tossing, turning, and staring at the ceiling, my Kindle and a cup of tea have basically become my nightly routine.

I’ve also read that women with endometriosis may experience symptoms associated with perimenopause earlier than average, and honestly… as if endometriosis hasn’t put us through enough already. 😅

At this point, I’m about ready to start a Late Night Book Club for all the insomnia and perimenopause girlies because apparently none of us are sleeping anyway. 📚☕️😂

So tell me… are you dealing with insomnia, perimenopause symptoms, endometriosis, or all of the above? And most importantly, what has actually helped you sleep? Drop your tips below because your girl is desperate. 💛

One thing people don’t talk about enough is how ch One thing people don’t talk about enough is how chronic illness doesn’t just affect the person who’s diagnosed, it changes the lives of the people who love them, too. ❤️

Living with an invisible illness can feel incredibly isolating, but having a supportive spouse has made all the difference in my journey. Through countless doctor appointments, unanswered questions, difficult days, and moments when I’ve felt like giving up, my husband has been my biggest advocate, my safe place, and my constant source of strength.

I know not everyone has that kind of support, and my heart truly goes out to anyone navigating chronic illness on their own. No one should have to carry that weight by themselves.

To every caregiver, spouse, partner, family member, or friend who continues to show up with patience, compassion, and love; you matter more than you know. Thank you for making the hard days a little easier. 🤍

If you’re living with a chronic illness, tag someone who’s been there for you, or send this to the person who’s helped carry you through your hardest days. They deserve to know how much they’re appreciated.

Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outsid Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outside with the breeze slightly blowing right now instead of it being 100 degrees outside! 🤣

But seriously though, one sip and you’ll see why this cozy fall drink is a fan favorite. Made with warm apple cider, cinnamon, caramel, and whipped cream, it tastes like autumn in a cup, and the best part? There’s no coffee, so it’s perfect for kids and anyone who isn’t a coffee drinker!

I finally shared my easy Starbucks copycat Caramel Apple Spice recipe on the blog, and it’s so simple to make at home whenever those fall cravings hit. 🤎 Comment “Recipe” below and I’ll send it straight to you!

Have you ever tried a Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice before, or will this be your first time? Let me know below! 👇🏻 And don’t forget to save this recipe for cozy season and share it with your fellow fall lovers!

Anyone else have this problem when you’re laying o Anyone else have this problem when you’re laying out by the pool or at the beach trying to read a good book? 😅

No matter what style, brand, or pair of sunglasses I buy, they ALWAYS slide down my nose the second I lay on my stomach. 🤦‍♀️ I’ve tried expensive ones, cheap ones, trendy ones—you name it. Same result every time!

At this point I’m convinced I either have a weirdly shaped face or gravity just has a personal vendetta against me. 😂

It’s honestly one of my biggest pool day pet peeves because I can never stay comfortable long enough to tan my back. So while the front of me is getting plenty of sunshine, the back is staying pale because I’m constantly giving up and rolling back over. ☀️🤣

Please tell me I’m not the only one! Do your sunglasses slide down your nose too, or have you found a magical pair that actually stays put? 👇😎

POV: You spend months growing a vegetable garden… POV: You spend months growing a vegetable garden… just to realize you’re actually gardening for the neighborhood deer. 😂🌱🦌

Apparently they decided to leave me exactly 4 cherry tomatoes and half a cucumber today. How thoughtful. 🤣

But wait until the end because you’ll see the sweetest little baby deer… and honestly, how am I supposed to stay mad after that?! 🥹❤️ They can have all the cherry tomatoes they want.

The only sad part? I haven’t harvested a single heirloom tomato this year because the deer keep eating them before they’re ripe enough to pick. 😅 I guess my garden has officially become a wildlife buffet.

Tell me I’m not the only one… What keeps eating your garden? Deer, squirrels, rabbits, or something else? ⬇️

If you’ve been following my chronic illness journe If you’ve been following my chronic illness journey for a while, you already know how many doctors, specialists, tests, and appointments I’ve been through. Time after time, I was told I was “fine,” “everything looks normal,” or that it was “just anxiety.”

But after my appointment with @carolina_functional_neurology, I finally felt heard.

They agreed that what I’ve been experiencing is not normal. They believe I have POTS, and they also think there could be other neurological issues that need to be investigated. After years of questioning myself because of medical gaslighting, hearing a doctor validate my symptoms was something I’ll never forget.

At this point, I don’t think one Netflix documentary would be enough to cover this whole journey. 🤣

The saddest part? I know so many of you have messaged me saying you’ve experienced the exact same thing. It’s heartbreaking how common medical gaslighting has become, especially for people living with chronic illness or invisible illnesses.

So if you’re still searching for answers, this is your reminder: don’t stop advocating for yourself. Keep asking questions. Keep pushing for second opinions. Keep fighting for the care you deserve.

You know your body better than anyone else.

And if you’ve been medically gaslit too, I want you to know you’re not alone. ❤️

The stars of this business venture, Toby and Riley, have fully consented to the arrangement (by accepting treats), and they strongly support me staying home so I can dedicate more time to serving their every need. 😜

Yesterday felt like a turning point. 🤍 We drove t Yesterday felt like a turning point. 🤍

We drove to Charlotte to see a functional neurologist, and for the first time in a long time, I left an appointment feeling heard instead of dismissed.

After listening to everything I’ve been experiencing and putting me through what they jokingly called the “Brain Olympics” 😂 (seriously…SO many neurological tests), they agreed that my symptoms are not normal. They also agree that I likely have POTS, which honestly brought so much validation after everything I’ve been through.

The testing also showed signs that something may be going on with my cerebellum that’s causing my autonomic nervous system to misfire. Because of that, they want me to get a brain MRI to investigate further, including looking for things like Chiari malformation. They’re also ordering additional bloodwork and testing for celiac disease to make sure nothing else is contributing to everything I’ve been experiencing.

Am I nervous? Absolutely.

But for the first time in a very long time, I also feel hopeful.

I know none of these are answers yet, but having a doctor who believes me, listens, and is committed to figuring this out means more than I can explain. After years of wondering if I was just imagining things or being told my tests were “normal,” that validation alone feels like a huge win.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and shared your own experiences. Your support has helped me keep pushing for answers when it would’ve been easier to give up.

I’m taking this journey one step at a time, and I’ll continue to keep you all updated. ❤️

Have you ever had to fight to get a doctor to truly listen to you? I’d love to hear your story in the comments. 👇

A Weekend Full of Vintage Goodies and Friends

So this past weekend I was lucky enough to go to an event in Taylors, SC called Vintage Pickin. You may remember me talking all about it before, as I have shared a few reasons in the past as to why you should go to one, and the first original Vintage Pickin event that I ever went to.

With this being my second Vintage Pickin event, I have to say it was just as good as the first one! I had such an incredible time and it was such a fun event. I also found some great vintage goodies, which I will share all about them below of course!

Group Shot from Vintage Pickin
Here is a group shot of all the Instagram Influencers from the Thursday Night Meet and Greet!

Thursday Night Meet and Greet

Thursday night, before the actual event started, myself and some other Instagram Influencers were all lucky enough to come preview the event and mingle with each other.

I was so happy we had the opportunity to do this because I haven’t seen most of them since the last Vintage Pickin event I attended and I was definitely looking forward to catching up with them.

Previewing The Booths at Vintage Pickin

After snacking and catching up with everyone, we were able to preview all the booths and vendors and see what kind of goodies they brought with them to the event.

And let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I was blown away by all the vintage goodies and antiques each booth had. I really wanted to buy everything I laid my eyes on!

It was such a cool time to be able to preview all the booths without a big crowd in your way. I really enjoyed being able to look through everything and take my time.

And that way, I was also able to make a game plan as to which booths I wanted to hit up first thing in the morning when the doors opened for the actual event!

I am always amazed by how these vendors can style their booths. They all looked so amazing and beautiful and I didn’t even get to take pictures of all of them because there were so many!

Just looking at these booth displays gets me inspired on how I should style my vintage and antique pieces in your home.

If you are ever stumped on how to style these pieces too, go to an event like this or an antique mall and just stroll through the aisles and get inspired!

I could have spent all night here just browsing around each booth slowly and admiring all the pretty pieces!

Friday- The Opening Event

After being able to preview the booths the night before, I was pumped and ready to go by Friday morning! In fact, I had a hard time sleeping Thursday night because I was just so excited to go back!

The doors opened at 10:00 am and we got there around 9:15 am and there was already a line waiting to get in!

Thankfully, the same group of us influencers were able to get in the front of the line and go inside a little early to take another group picture since not everyone was able to attend Thursday night’s event.

After taking all the photos together, it was time to shop! My very first find was a vintage panoramic photo of armed servicemen from Fort Bragg, NC from 1942.

I have been wanting some panoramic pictures for awhile now and I was so happy to score it for a great price too.

As I stated in my post about Tips For Antique Hunting At Large Vintage Events like this one, it’s always best to go in with a game plan of what you want first that way you don’t get overwhelmed.

April the Owner of Vintage Pickin
This is me and April, the creator behind all of these amazing Vintage Pickin events. She is so talented and created this whole photo backdrop herself! I am always inspired by her Instagram account too.

However, I didn’t follow my other tip I shared in that post about grabbing something you like when you first see it because it might just get gone before you have a chance to grab it again!

I saw a beautiful pair of chippy white shutters that I wanted to hang in our bedroom.

I decided I would wait until I looked around more because I just wasn’t ready to spend all my money yet. But, when I finally made my mind up to go back and purchase them, someone else had already bought them!

So definitely go with your gut and first instinct and buy it if you like it because it definitely will get gone!

Vintage Copper Display
Love all the copper pieces here!
Vintage Rocker Bench
I really wanted this beautiful rocker bench too!

Even though I missed out on the shutters, I was still able to find a few more vintage goodies and I was overall pleased with my haul for the day.

It was so much fun and they even had food trucks and vendors outside of the event as well.

It also continued into Saturday but I was unfortunately not able to attend the last day (mainly because I had already blew my budget out of the water from Friday!).

So the next time you hear of a Vintage Pickin event coming near you, you definitely need to go!

I always create the best memories with people I love and have the best time with them too at events like these so I will defintely cherish these moments and look forward to the next time!

Vintage Milkglass Display
Look at this pretty milk glass collection!
Vintage Camper Display
I just loved the flooring in this vintage camper!

Of course when I got home from the Vintage Pickin event, I tried to take a little vignette of all of my fun finds from the day.

You can see everything I got below and I will share what vendor I found them from as well.

Some of these amazing vendors ship their pieces too, so if you see something on their page that you like, don’t be afraid to ask and see!

  • Old English Advertising Pot- Barking Birds Antiques

Here’s another closer shot of my finds from Vintage Pickin!

Well, as you can see, my weekend was pretty amazing and I am already looking forward to the next Vintage Pickin event! And I hear it’s coming back this Fall so I cannot wait to go back!

I hope if y’all ever get the chance to come to one, you will go! I promise it is totally worth it and you will have a blast, just like I did!

And stay tuned for more posts coming up as to how and where I styled all these vintage goodies in my home!
