Y’all, I am SO tired of this 😩💔 I woke up this mor Y’all, I am SO tired of this 😩💔 I woke up this morning not feeling great, but like I always do, I tried to push through it. I was sitting at my laptop doing a little work when suddenly my hands started shaking so badly that I couldn’t control what I was doing. My HR spiked up to 180 and I threw up as well. And honestly? I’m frustrated, scared, and completely exhausted from not knowing WHY this is happening.

I finally got my MRI results back on Friday, and fortunately (but also unfortunately), they didn’t find anything major. And I’ll admit it… I bawled. 😭

Of course I don’t want something seriously wrong with me. But at the same time, I desperately want a diagnosis. I want answers. After dealing with unexplained symptoms for so long, getting “normal” test results can almost feel like another dead end.

My neurologist had mentioned the possibility of Chiari malformation, so I honestly thought that might finally explain some of my symptoms. Now that the MRI didn’t show that, I feel like I’m back at square one.

Because this isn’t normal. 😩

What am I supposed to do for work when my hands are shaking like this?! I was working as a dental hygienist, and can you imagine trying to clean someone’s teeth while your hands are trembling uncontrollably? It’s terrifying to even think about.
My short-term disability still hasn’t been approved either, so I’m sitting here wondering what I’m supposed to do next while my health and career feel completely uncertain.

I have another appointment with my doctor on Friday, so I’m trying to remind myself that this is just another step in the process. But it feels like it’s been nothing but waiting for appointments, waiting for tests, waiting for results… and still no answers.

This has truly been the hardest season of my life.

I’m trying so hard to trust God through all of this, even when I don’t understand what He’s doing. 🙏🏻 It’s just really hard when you don’t know what your future, your health, or even your career is going to look like.

So if you’ve been following along through this health journey, please keep praying that I finally get some answers. 🤍

When I spotted these plain little white ceramic gh When I spotted these plain little white ceramic ghosts at the Target Dollar Spot, I knew they had SO much potential! Instead of leaving them plain, I gave them a quick makeover and turned them into the cutest antiqued gold Halloween decor that looks way more expensive than it actually is! 🙌

Here’s how I did it:

👻 First, I sprayed the ceramic ghosts with black spray paint.
✨ Then I lightly layered metallic gold spray paint over the top. I didn’t want them super shiny—I was going for that aged, antique gold pottery look.
🖤 Finally, I used a little black acrylic paint to make their eyes stand out more.

And that’s it! Such an easy DIY Halloween decor makeover, and I think they turned out ADORABLE! 🥹

I love finding inexpensive Target Dollar Spot finds and giving them a high-end look with a little DIY magic.

Would you believe these started as plain white ghosts from Target?! 👻

It’s officially been ONE FULL YEAR since my health It’s officially been ONE FULL YEAR since my health started spiraling. 💔

A year ago today, I was at work when my heart rate suddenly spiked so high that I became extremely dizzy and shaky and genuinely thought I was going to pass out. I went to the ER afterward just to be safe, and of course… everything looked “normal.” My EKG was normal. They could see that my heart rate had spiked, but they couldn’t tell me why.

Little did I know that one scary episode would turn into a daily battle with unexplained symptoms. Fast forward one year and I’m dealing with even worse symptoms, including frequent heart rate spikes, dizziness, shakiness/tremors, fatigue, and so much more. And the hardest part? I STILL DON’T HAVE ANSWERS.

I can’t even work anymore. I’ve spent months waiting for appointments, getting test after test, waiting for results, and hoping that this will finally be the thing that explains what’s happening… only to end up with more questions.

And honestly? I feel crazy sometimes. Not because I think this is all in my head, but because it’s incredibly hard to keep telling people how badly you feel when test after test doesn’t give you an answer. 😭

It’s been a really rough week emotionally, and I’m having a hard time dealing with all of this. I feel like I’m constantly taking one step forward and two steps back. How long am I going to have to wait before I finally have answers? How much longer until I can start feeling like myself and actually live my life again?

I’m so tired of waiting. I’m tired of being passed from appointment to appointment. I’m tired of having no real help in the meantime. And I’m tired of feeling like I have to fight so hard just to be heard. 💔 I’m trying so hard to let go, trust God, and believe that there’s a reason for all of this… but y’all, IS IT HARD. 😢

I’m praying that after this past year, I’m finally getting closer to some answers. Until then, I’m just taking it one day at a time. If you’re also living with unexplained symptoms, chronic illness, POTS symptoms, tremors, dizziness, heart rate spikes, or a long diagnostic journey, please know you’re not alone. ❤️Here’s to hoping year two looks very different from year one!

DIY: Trailing Rose Garden Planter

So if y’all remember from my DIY String Light Refresh post, then you know we bought a camper this summer! We’ve been really enjoying fixing it up and making it more of our style, even though it was pretty much move in ready. The outdoor lot to it was already landscaped beautifully as well, but there were just a few things we wanted to add to it, like this DIY: Trailing Rose Garden Planter!

Keep on reading below to see just how simple and easy it is to add this cute DIY to your garden or patio space as well.

DIY: Trailing Rose Garden Planter

Materials Needed:

  • Large bucket or tin
  • Rose bush
  • Plant Trellis
  • Potting soil (lots of it!)

Setting Up The Planter

The first thing to do in this easy trailing rose garden planter DIY is to drill holes in the bottom of your bucket or tin- or basically whatever you are using as a planter.

Just be sure there are enough drainage holes in the bottom to let all the water out when you water your roses!

Galvanized Tin Planter
If you look closely here, you can see the holes drilled into the tin.

I found this beautiful, rusty, old galvanized tin from a flea market and y’all will not believe the price I got for it! Only $8! What a steal! You definitely couldn’t buy a planter this large for that price.

If you’re looking for a unique tin like this, be sure to check out your local flea markets and thrift stores because you really never know what you can find there!

Plant Trellis
This is where we decided to place the tin, since there was already a large plant trellis here behind it with no plant.

That’s the fun part of this DIY project. You can use whatever kind of planter you want and whatever speaks to you is best.

Y’all know I love old chippy pieces so when I saw this tin, I knew I had to have it. It’s also very similar to the tin I used for my DIY herb garden project too!

Filling Up The Planter

After you drill enough holes in the bottom of your planter, you can now fill it up with potting soil. You will definitely need a lot of it if you have a big tin like I did.

We went through two huge bags and it was barely enough! I would recommend using a high quality brand of potting soil that is best for roses.

Roses can be a little tricky to grow so it’s better to spend a little more money on better quality products to help them thrive.

Filling Up The Planter
Here is the tin filled up with potting soil.

Planting The Roses

We filled up the tin about halfway full with potting soil and then placed the rose bush inside to plant it. After we got the rose bush in, we filled the rest of it up with the remaining potting soil.

Now, our rose bush already came with a plant trellis so we didn’t have to add that in, but if yours doesn’t come with one, I would recommend getting one so the roses can trail upward when they grow.

Planting The Roses
Here are the roses all planted in the galvanized tin.

We also have a large plant trellis in the outside of our camper too. So we placed the tin filled with roses right in front of it.

That way when the roses start to trail even higher, they have another trellis to latch onto! I am hoping it will really take off and grow tall here to give us a little more privacy in between our lot and the other camper’s lot beside us.

It looked like the previous owners had planted something there already too, but whatever it was had died and there was a big empty space there that we needed to fill.

Zero Gravity Chair Series from BCP

Westerland Roses

It’s also important to note the kind of roses we got to plant. We got the Westerland Rose which is a great landscaping rose bush. They bloom in spring, summer, and fall as well.

They also require full direct sun for at least 6 hours a day. So these are all important things to consider when you are trying to decide where to plant the roses at in your yard.

Trailing Rose Garden Planter
Full view of the completed project!

Conclusion

This was such a simple and easy project to do to really help spruce up our landscaping at the camper. I can’t wait to see the pretty blooms the roses produce this year and watch how tall they grow as well.

This is the perfect DIY project to do to help fill in an empty space in your yard or patio. Let me know if you try this out and how it goes for you too!

This looks like a great little DIY project. I have been trying to incorporate more flowers into my garden and roses would be nice since they come back every year. It’s a bit too late to plant things where I am now, but I will have to remember this for when spring arrives again so I can add a few nice rose accents to my garden.

Y’all, I’m asking for some extra prayers today. ❤️ Y’all, I’m asking for some extra prayers today. ❤️ Today is finally MRI day. They’re checking my brain and my cervical and lumbar spine, and I’m praying this is one step closer to finally getting some answers about what’s been going on with me.

At this point, they’re looking into possibilities like Chiari malformation, MS, or something else entirely. And honestly… I have no idea what these MRIs are going to show.

I think one of the scariest parts is the possibility that they could come back “normal” and I’ll STILL have no answers. Because when you’ve been dealing with symptoms for so long, you almost start questioning yourself and wondering, “Am I actually crazy?” 😜

I obviously don’t want them to find anything serious, but at the same time, I NEED them to find something that can explain why I’ve been feeling the way I have. If you’ve ever been stuck in that horrible limbo of “I know something is wrong, but I don’t know what”, you know exactly what I mean.

So today I’m praying for clear answers, good news, and hopefully a diagnosis and treatment plan that can finally help me move forward. 🙏🏼 And I’m REALLY hoping I don’t have to wait forever for those MRI results either because the waiting is absolutely brutal.

It’s been such a stressful and exhausting journey, and I’m just ready to get this part OVER WITH. 😭

If you’re the praying kind, I’d appreciate one today. ❤️ And if you’ve been following along through all of this, thank you for being here. It means more than you know.

Now excuse me while I romanticize my fall coffee station and pretend everything is fine. 😂☕️🍁

Hey @mutualofomaha I genuinely want to know how yo Hey @mutualofomaha I genuinely want to know how you think I can safely work as a dental hygienist with extremely noticeable hand tremors and shaking happening all the time.

How can my short-term disability claim be denied while saying I’m still capable of doing a job that requires me to use extremely sharp dental instruments underneath people’s gums every single day?

If I were your dental hygienist, would you feel comfortable trusting me to clean YOUR teeth while my hands are shaking like this? Because I don’t.

I’m not trying to get out of working. I’m trying to protect my patients and myself while I figure out what is happening to my body.

I’ve spent over 10 years working as a dental hygienist, and right now I physically struggle to hold my instruments and perform my job safely because of these tremors. I still don’t have answers or a diagnosis, and I’ve been waiting weeks for a brain MRI to hopefully help determine what’s going on.

But in the meantime, I’m expected to just go to work and continue using sharp instruments in people’s mouths like nothing is wrong?

This is so incredibly frustrating. I want to work. I WANT to be able to work. But I also want to be able to do my job safely and responsibly.

This is what happens when the healthcare system and disability insurance system fail people who are genuinely struggling to work.

If you’ve ever dealt with a denied short-term disability claim, disability insurance, chronic illness, unexplained symptoms, tremors, or being told you’re “fine” when you know something is wrong, I’d love to hear your experience. ❤️
