If you’re looking for an easy St. Patrick’s Day breakfast idea, then you’re definitely going to want to try this recipe out! I made a fun and healthy St. Patrick’s Day smoothie! And the best part is, it tastes so yummy!
Even though it is healthy, it tastes just like a peanut butter banana smoothie! I know it’s hard to believe, considering it is green, but trust me!
You will have to keep on reading to see what my extra special secret ingredient is to make this smoothie so yummy and tasty!

Ingredients Needed for St. Patrick’s Day Smoothie
- Frozen Banana
- Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (Or whatever milk you prefer)
- Handful of Spinach
- PB2 Powder
Topping Ideas:
Now, if you wanted to go the ultra healthy route, you could totally stop at the above ingredient list. But hey, it is St. Patrick’s Day right?! So let’s add a little more fun to this smoothie!
I decided to top it with a little bit of whipped cream, for a sweeter touch, and of course, some fun themed St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles!
And when I was strolling the aisles of Hobby Lobby the other day and came across these cute shamrock paper straws, I knew I had to add them in too!
The Best Blender for Smoothies
I used my Ninja blender (which I love!) as you all know. I have used it for several of my other recipes such as when I make my pecan pie bars and my pumpkin pie bars too!
And the best part is it came with single serve cups and a smaller blender, so I can easily make a one serving sized smoothie whenever I want! That is my favorite part about it because I often make smoothies for a quick breakfast not he go during the work week.
How to Make This Easy St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast
Okay, now on to make this easy and delicious St. Patrick’s Day breakfast idea! First, you want add 1/3 cup of vanilla greek yogurt to your cup. Then, add in a frozen banana (that is sliced up), and then throw in a handful of fresh spinach.
I know that sounds crazy, especially if you’re not a spinach fan, but trust me, you don’t taste it AT ALL! And you get all the added benefits from the spinach without the taste! So that’s a win win, right?
The secret to hiding the taste of the spinach is adding two tablespoons of PB2 powder. This makes your smoothie taste just like peanut butter, and it is so delicious! If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should! I will link it below:
After the powder, add in about 2/3 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or whatever milk you prefer). You may need a little more or a little less depending on the desired consistency.
You can also add in some ice too, but I find that using the frozen banana slices make the smoothie just right for me!
Enjoy Your St. Patrick’s Day Themed Breakfast!
As you can see, this recipe is super easy and simple. It can also be enjoyed year round, not just on St. Patrick’s Day!
