Y’all… I need some advice. 😅 Has anyone ever had t Y’all… I need some advice. 😅 Has anyone ever had their pinky toenail almost completely fall off for absolutely no reason?

Mine is literally hanging on by one tiny corner (like 90% detached 🤢), and I can’t decide if I should just pull it off or leave it alone. The problem is it hurts every time I put on socks or shoes because it keeps catching and tugging. 😩

This actually happened to me years ago after wearing cowboy booties in Nashville that rubbed my pinky toes raw, and I ended up losing both pinky toenails. They eventually grew back completely normal, so I’m so confused why it’s happening again.

I haven’t stubbed my toe, I haven’t had a pedicure in over 6 weeks, and I’ve mostly been living in sandals all summer with my usual tennis shoes. So what in the world would make a toenail suddenly start falling off? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Should I just go ahead and pull it off since it’s barely attached, or leave it alone and let it come off on its own? Tell me what you would do because I’m officially accepting all the toenail advice I can get. 😂

And at this point, I guess my body has decided to rebel from the top of my head all the way down to my toenails. 🫠🤣 #toes #toenails #pinkytoe #pinkytoes #toenail

Please tell me I’m not the only one! I’m only 33, but lately I cannot sleep to save my life. Between tossing, turning, and staring at the ceiling, my Kindle and a cup of tea have basically become my nightly routine.

I’ve also read that women with endometriosis may experience symptoms associated with perimenopause earlier than average, and honestly… as if endometriosis hasn’t put us through enough already. 😅

At this point, I’m about ready to start a Late Night Book Club for all the insomnia and perimenopause girlies because apparently none of us are sleeping anyway. 📚☕️😂

So tell me… are you dealing with insomnia, perimenopause symptoms, endometriosis, or all of the above? And most importantly, what has actually helped you sleep? Drop your tips below because your girl is desperate. 💛

One thing people don’t talk about enough is how ch One thing people don’t talk about enough is how chronic illness doesn’t just affect the person who’s diagnosed, it changes the lives of the people who love them, too. ❤️

Living with an invisible illness can feel incredibly isolating, but having a supportive spouse has made all the difference in my journey. Through countless doctor appointments, unanswered questions, difficult days, and moments when I’ve felt like giving up, my husband has been my biggest advocate, my safe place, and my constant source of strength.

I know not everyone has that kind of support, and my heart truly goes out to anyone navigating chronic illness on their own. No one should have to carry that weight by themselves.

To every caregiver, spouse, partner, family member, or friend who continues to show up with patience, compassion, and love; you matter more than you know. Thank you for making the hard days a little easier. 🤍

If you’re living with a chronic illness, tag someone who’s been there for you, or send this to the person who’s helped carry you through your hardest days. They deserve to know how much they’re appreciated.

Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outsid Just pretending it’s a crisp, cool fall day outside with the breeze slightly blowing right now instead of it being 100 degrees outside! 🤣

But seriously though, one sip and you’ll see why this cozy fall drink is a fan favorite. Made with warm apple cider, cinnamon, caramel, and whipped cream, it tastes like autumn in a cup, and the best part? There’s no coffee, so it’s perfect for kids and anyone who isn’t a coffee drinker!

I finally shared my easy Starbucks copycat Caramel Apple Spice recipe on the blog, and it’s so simple to make at home whenever those fall cravings hit. 🤎 Comment “Recipe” below and I’ll send it straight to you!

Have you ever tried a Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice before, or will this be your first time? Let me know below! 👇🏻 And don’t forget to save this recipe for cozy season and share it with your fellow fall lovers!

No matter what style, brand, or pair of sunglasses I buy, they ALWAYS slide down my nose the second I lay on my stomach. 🤦‍♀️ I’ve tried expensive ones, cheap ones, trendy ones—you name it. Same result every time!

At this point I’m convinced I either have a weirdly shaped face or gravity just has a personal vendetta against me. 😂

It’s honestly one of my biggest pool day pet peeves because I can never stay comfortable long enough to tan my back. So while the front of me is getting plenty of sunshine, the back is staying pale because I’m constantly giving up and rolling back over. ☀️🤣

Please tell me I’m not the only one! Do your sunglasses slide down your nose too, or have you found a magical pair that actually stays put? 👇😎

Apparently they decided to leave me exactly 4 cherry tomatoes and half a cucumber today. How thoughtful. 🤣

But wait until the end because you’ll see the sweetest little baby deer… and honestly, how am I supposed to stay mad after that?! 🥹❤️ They can have all the cherry tomatoes they want.

The only sad part? I haven’t harvested a single heirloom tomato this year because the deer keep eating them before they’re ripe enough to pick. 😅 I guess my garden has officially become a wildlife buffet.

Of course, little Miss Riley immediately decided she deserved a turn too. 😂 Apparently this cozy cat bed is approved by cats of all ages!

If you’ve been following my chronic illness journe If you’ve been following my chronic illness journey for a while, you already know how many doctors, specialists, tests, and appointments I’ve been through. Time after time, I was told I was “fine,” “everything looks normal,” or that it was “just anxiety.”

But after my appointment with @carolina_functional_neurology, I finally felt heard.

They agreed that what I’ve been experiencing is not normal. They believe I have POTS, and they also think there could be other neurological issues that need to be investigated. After years of questioning myself because of medical gaslighting, hearing a doctor validate my symptoms was something I’ll never forget.

At this point, I don’t think one Netflix documentary would be enough to cover this whole journey. 🤣

The saddest part? I know so many of you have messaged me saying you’ve experienced the exact same thing. It’s heartbreaking how common medical gaslighting has become, especially for people living with chronic illness or invisible illnesses.

So if you’re still searching for answers, this is your reminder: don’t stop advocating for yourself. Keep asking questions. Keep pushing for second opinions. Keep fighting for the care you deserve.

You know your body better than anyone else.

And if you’ve been medically gaslit too, I want you to know you’re not alone. ❤️

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 I’ve decided to start an Onl 🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

I’ve decided to start an OnlyPaws account so I can finally quit my job and become a full-time stay-at-home cat mom. 😹

I mean, who wouldn’t pay premium content prices to see adorable cat toe beans, fluffy paws, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of two spoiled indoor cats living their best lives? 🐾😂

The stars of this business venture, Toby and Riley, have fully consented to the arrangement (by accepting treats), and they strongly support me staying home so I can dedicate more time to serving their every need. 😜

Honestly, with content this cute, retirement might be closer than I thought. 🤣

Yesterday felt like a turning point. 🤍 We drove t Yesterday felt like a turning point. 🤍

We drove to Charlotte to see a functional neurologist, and for the first time in a long time, I left an appointment feeling heard instead of dismissed.

After listening to everything I’ve been experiencing and putting me through what they jokingly called the “Brain Olympics” 😂 (seriously…SO many neurological tests), they agreed that my symptoms are not normal. They also agree that I likely have POTS, which honestly brought so much validation after everything I’ve been through.

The testing also showed signs that something may be going on with my cerebellum that’s causing my autonomic nervous system to misfire. Because of that, they want me to get a brain MRI to investigate further, including looking for things like Chiari malformation. They’re also ordering additional bloodwork and testing for celiac disease to make sure nothing else is contributing to everything I’ve been experiencing.

Am I nervous? Absolutely.

But for the first time in a very long time, I also feel hopeful.

I know none of these are answers yet, but having a doctor who believes me, listens, and is committed to figuring this out means more than I can explain. After years of wondering if I was just imagining things or being told my tests were “normal,” that validation alone feels like a huge win.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and shared your own experiences. Your support has helped me keep pushing for answers when it would’ve been easier to give up.

I’m taking this journey one step at a time, and I’ll continue to keep you all updated. ❤️

Have you ever had to fight to get a doctor to truly listen to you? I’d love to hear your story in the comments. 👇

Anyone else flip the switch to fall mode the secon Anyone else flip the switch to fall mode the second the Fourth of July is over? 🍂😂

Don’t get me wrong, I still love summer, pool days, and sunshine. But there’s just something about fall that has my heart. The cozy vibes, cooler weather, pumpkin everything, fall candles, football Saturdays, and not melting the second you step outside? Yes, please! 🤎🍁

Don’t worry… I’m not decorating for fall just yet (I’m trying to be patient 😅), but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming about all the fall decor, cozy nights, and crisp autumn days ahead!

Now I have to know… are you Team Fall 🍂 or Team Summer ☀️? Let the debate begin!

Christmas 2020 Home Tour

Welcome to my Christmas Home Tour of 2020! I may or may not have gone a little overboard with my Christmas decor this year.

I figured since it’s been such a hard year on everyone, why not go all out with some Christmas cheer by adding lights everywhere that I possibly can in my house?!

Christmas lights and decor make me happy and makes everything feel so cozy.

I thought I would share with you all the Christmas touches I have done around my home this year to make it feel special and festive, despite the circumstances.

Christmas 2020 Home Tour
Here is a full view of my main Christmas tree in my living room this year.

This post contains affiliate links. Click here to read my disclosure policy.

Christmas Entryway

First stop on my Christmas home tour is my entryway. This is the first area you see when you walk into my home, so I wanted it to be very festive and welcoming.

I have a little entryway nook right beside the door so I added in a cute, seasonal pillow (can you guess where the quote is from?!) and a festive sign and banner as well.

Christmas Entryway Nook

Right beside this little entryway nook is my favorite entryway table I got for my birthday this year. I left my dough bowl in the middle and added in some pine garland and rusty red bells.

I also replaced the candlesticks I had on one side with that cute table top tree as well. I even added in some battery operated string lights to the tree to give it more of a cozy glow at night.

Christmas Entryway Table
Here is a full view of how I styled my entryway for Christmas.

Under my cloche, I added in some cheap bottle brush trees. I used a mixture of tall and small trees to give it some definition. Also, remember those DIY Snow Globes I made last year??

I placed one in the back of that riser as you can see in the picture above! They are so cute and easy to place around the house for some instant Christmas cheer!

Living Room

My entryway and living room are all connected together so I tried to tie in the same theme in both of these areas. I love the buffalo plaid color scheme on my tree so I tried to tie in it multiple areas around the living room too.

I found those cute pillow covers off of Amazon and ordered enough to cover all the existing pillows I already had in my living room.

The ones I had were a light blur color, so they wouldn’t really match my color scheme. Pillow covers are a cheap and easy fix to tie in any holiday color scheme you have going on in you own home!

Christmas Living Room
Here is a full view of my Christmas living room this year!

I also love decorating around our fireplace and while we may not have a mantel, I still like to display my stockings. I used my blanket ladder to hang up my stockings by the fireplace.

I shared more about that in a post last year (see no mantel, no problem!) if you want more information on that.

Christmas Stocking Display
This is where I hang up our stockings!

Vintage Christmas Crock

I also had to style the shelves right beside the Christmas tree of course too. And again, you can see one of my DIY snow globes on here too.

I kept the placement of my vintage books the same, just added in some bottle brush trees and some Christmas signs and that was it!

Christmas Open Shelves in Living Room
Here is a closer view of my open shelves here!

Vintage Christmas Coffee Bar

Of course my favorite spot in my Christmas Home Tour is my coffee bar! I went with more of a vintage Christmas theme this year and I am so glad I did! I absolutely love how it turned out.

My vintage santa mugs hanging on the bar gives it such a perfect vintage touch I think!

I had to search high and low for these bad boys! And I ended up ordering most of them from Etsy. They are impossible to find around here.

I have only found two in person within the past two years locally. I am hoping to increase my collection eventually but for now I think I have a pretty good start!

Vintage Christmas Coffee Bar
Here is a full view of my vintage Christmas Coffee Bar this year.

I also continued the vintage theme on my tiered tray. I added in a vintage grocery tag on my flower frog and my cute santa salt and pepper shakers are vintage inspired too.

I tried to incorporate a lot of hot cocoa pieces too since it is Christmas time. I wanted it to be a combination of hot cocoa and coffee since I drink both during the holiday season!

Christmas Tiered Tray
Here is my tiered tray on my coffee bar.

I got a lot of pieces from my friend Jackie’s shop, Rodworks Asheville, to decorate this space with this year. And if you remember from a few weeks ago, she was apart of my 20K giveaway too!

I love being able to support small shops and businesses during this tough Christmas season so I try to shop small and local as much as I can!

Dining Room

My dining room is connected to my coffee bar so I wanted to keep the whole vintage theme going on there.

I will share more about my vintage Christmas tablescape in a few days, so I won’t take up too much time here. But I will say I am very happy with how it turned out!

View of Christmas Dining Room
Here is a view of my Christmas dining room and coffee bar area.

I am also loving how my open shelves in the dining room turned out this year too. I think they definitely stayed on track with the whole vintage theme as well. I even added a santa mug there too.

This was actually one that I broke (I was sick to my stomach when that happened!). I opened it up from the package and dropped it on my granite countertop and it broke right in half.

Thank goodness some superglue fixed him right up, but I was too afraid to hang him on my coffee bar. So now he sits up there on the shelves looking pretty!

Christmas Open Shelves
Close up view of my open shelves.

I tried to add in as many Christmas touches as I could to my already styled vintage shelves. Such as adding in faux pine greenery in my ironstone pitchers up top and bottle brush trees in my vintage enamelware bowl in the middle.

I also love adding in fun, festive colored paper straws to my old dundee jar in the middle shelf too. I tend to do that for different seasons as well.

Christmas Bedroom

Next up on the Christmas home tour is our bedroom. I love having my two pencil trees in here as well. It gives the bedroom such a cozy and warm vibe.

I pretty much styled the bedroom the same as last year because I just loved that look so much.

Christmas Farmhouse Bedroom
Here is a full view of our Christmas bedroom this year.

If you want more information about how I styled this space, see my Christmas bedroom from last year. I did end up ordering two new Christmas trees for this space.

Because if you read my post from last year, you’ll notice how the two pencil trees didn’t match up entirely and that drove me crazy! So this year I finally got two matching ones.

But I also always love to add in a styled tray with some cute Christmas decor as well as a delicious smelling Christmas candle as well!

Christmas Tray On Bed

Vintage Christmas Office

I spend a lot of time in my office obviously writing blog posts, so I definitely like to add in a lot of Christmas decor here as well.

Especially when I sit in here and write, I love to have a full view of a Christmas tree too!

Tree Farm Candle

I have a little 6 foot tree right beside my desk in here so I can always look at the pretty glow! My goal for next year is to be able to decorate this tree all with vintage ornaments too.

I am hoping to find a lot next year since I didn’t really get a chance to get any this year. I also always love to have my favorite, Tree Farm Candle burning here as well. It definitely is the total scent of Christmas to me!

I also ended up ordering some vintage inspired Christmas prints for my wall behind my desk this year as well.

Vintage Christmas Office
View of my gallery wall behind my desk.

This prints came in a pack of four so I ended up putting my extra one on my open shelves in my office too.

That way my shelves have a little touch of Christmas to them too!

Office Christmas Shelves
Here is a close up view of my office Christmas shelves.

Guest Bedroom

I even added in some Christmas touches to our guest bedroom as well this year. I of course had to add in a little pencil Christmas tree in here as well!

I love having neutral bedding, that way I can easily add in a few pops of Christmas decor. Such as these cute Christmas pillow covers. I have the rest of them scattered around my house too.

Christmas Guest Bedroom
It’s fun to add in a few Christmas touches in here!
Christmas Bedroom Tray
I always love to have a cozy candle burning in here as well.

We recently installed some open shelving in here too and I added a few Christmas touches to those as well.

Such as my cute little DIY Gingerbread Houses I did a few weeks ago.

Gingerbread Houses in Guest Room
I am obsessed with the vintage rocker I have in the guest room too!
Gingerbread Houses on Shelves
Close up view of the open shelves!

Downstairs

Last up on my Christmas home tour is our Downstairs area. This is a space I rarely show on here or on my Instagram because it has sadly been neglected all this time!

We just haven’t really started styling this space until the very end of this year so I am very excited to finish this space up in the coming new year!

We got this amazing new Christmas tree for this space down here this year and it has several light changing options.

It can change from white to multi colored lights so I have definitely been enjoying the different lighting options!

Downstairs White Christmas Tree

We also finally got a little electric fireplace that works as a tv console for the space down here as well. I am so excited that this space is starting to look more and more put together.

Our dream is to transform it into a vintage game room! So maybe by next Christmas, we will have achieved that goal! I will of course let you know when we do!

Christmas TV Console
I haven’t been able to style this exactly how I want to yet, but here it is for now!
Christmas Candle Vignette

End of Christmas Home Tour

Well friends, this concludes my Christmas 2020 Home Tour! I hope you enjoyed it as much I did while styling everything.

I absolutely love Christmastime and I am so sad to see it drawing to an end. I am also dreading taking down all of this decor!

As you can see, it will probably take me a few days to get everything back to normal! But, I hope you and your family have a very blessed Christmas this year and let’s all hope that 2021 is a little better to us!

If there is a year to go all out, this would be it! Right? With so much uncertainty and negativity around the world, we can at least welcome the holiday spirit into our homes and create our own little ‘safe place’ full of joy. We wavered on setting up the tree/wrapping gifts given that we weren’t going to have any company over but decided to go for it for exactly that reason.

I mean, how long do y’all think we’d survive on 3 I mean, how long do y’all think we’d survive on 3 cherry tomatoes, 4 cucumbers, and 2 squash from my vegetable garden? 😂 My raised garden beds have been struggling this year thanks to the deer, but technically my produce is homegrown and fresh!

Although… when you already deal with chronic GI issues every day, would you even notice the difference? 🤣

Any other gardeners having a rough harvest this year, or is it just me? 🌿🍅🥒

POV: It’s 2:37 a.m. and you’re playing everyone’s POV: It’s 2:37 a.m. and you’re playing everyone’s favorite game… “Is this insomnia or is this perimenopause?” 🙃😂

Anyone else have this problem when you’re laying o Anyone else have this problem when you’re laying out by the pool or at the beach trying to read a good book? 😅

POV: You spend months growing a vegetable garden… POV: You spend months growing a vegetable garden… just to realize you’re actually gardening for the neighborhood deer. 😂🌱🦌

Tell me I’m not the only one… What keeps eating your garden? Deer, squirrels, rabbits, or something else? ⬇️

Since my first baby, Toby, officially turned 10 ye Since my first baby, Toby, officially turned 10 years old last month, I knew I had to spoil him with something extra special. 🥹🐈 And let me tell you… this heated therapeutic cat bed has been the biggest hit!

It features multiple heat settings to keep older cats cozy, plus a gentle massage feature that’s perfect for helping senior cats relax after a long day of… well… napping. 😹 Safe to say Toby is obsessed!
