I am your basic white girl and I am obsessed with any Starbucks pumpkin spice drinks. But, I don’t love the price tag that comes with that! We all know going to Starbuck multiple times a week can put a dent in your wallet! So I decided to try out my own copycat Starbucks iced pumpkin spice latte recipe at home!
I do love a hot pumpkin spice latte too, but it still is a little warm here. So to celebrate the start of September, I thought it would be fun to shared this yummy iced pumpkin spice latte recipe!
I hope you all try it out too and enjoy it just as much as I did. It tastes like fall in a cup! And it also pairs so well with the healthy 4 ingredient pumpkin cookies I shared earlier this week too! Ingredients For Copycat Starbucks Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe
Here are all the simple ingredients you need to make this yummy homemade pumpkin spice latte:
2 shots of espresso (if you don’t have an espresso machine, you can just use 1/2 cup of a really strong brewed coffee instead)
1 cup of your favorite milk (oat milk, coconut milk, soy milk, non-dairy milk, skim milk etc.)
1 tablespoon pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (I used my homemade vanilla extract here!)
2 teaspoons maple syrup
Ice Cubes
Whipped Cream, optional
Equipment Needed For Making Iced Latte
To make this delicious drink, you do need a couple pieces of equipment to make it properly. I used my Nespresso Vertuo machine, which I absolutely love! but, you can use a regular coffee maker or a french press too if you don’t have one.
If you are using a regular coffee maker, just be sure that you are brewing really strong coffee. Otherwise, brew a shot of espresso with your Nespresso or espresso machine. I just brewed a whole pod with my Nespresso machine and used that for this recipe.
But, if you want it to be more sweet and less strong, you don’t have to use as much espresso as I did. I just like a strong cup of coffee!
Another piece of equipment you need is a blender (I used my Ninja Blender) or an immersion blender. You combine all the ingredients, except the ice cubes and whipped cream in a blender. Then, serve over ice in a tall glass and add whipped cream if you are using it. And then, top with an extra sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon.
And, that’s literally all there is to creating this Starbucks copycat recipe! How is easy is that?
I also love how this iced PSL recipe has a much lower calorie count than the actual Starbucks pumpkin spice latte one too! I hate how many calories most of their drinks have honestly. And if you’re looking for another lower calorie option to a Starbucks Coffee favorite, be sure to check out my copycat peppermint mocha recipe too!
Recipe Notes
You can easily customize this delicious homemade iced pumpkin spice latte to your preferences. Like I mentioned above, you can use whatever choice of milk you prefer. I have tried several different kinds of milk when it comes to coffee at home recipes.
I usually have cow’s milk on hand, but I have found that unsweetened almond milk also works well for iced coffee recipes. Honestly, I am not a fan of it though in hot coffee recipes. So it would be perfect to use in this recipe since it is iced! Also, I think whole milk works best in a milk frother. It definitely froths up better than other milk I have tried.
If you want a sweeter coffee, add more maple syrup. Or add in a different kind of sweetener. I like using maple syrup because it cuts back on actually adding in sugar. But, if you prefer sugar instead, go for it!
So basically just play around with this recipe and see what works best for you.

Definitely saving this recipe. Saves you money and it’s lower in calories, and you can adjust it to your liking, unlike in Starbucks where the drink is always slightly too sweet!
